Watch carefully the reviews. They have some true delights - Charlie Chaplain with a real piano player, the original Phantom of the Opera with a live piano player was out of this world. They play an unusual mix - some of the best films that I have seen have been here. Parking a little tight.

Located in the Ghent section of downtown Norfolk on Granby St, it's in the middle of a thriving restaurant district. We've been enjoying their eclectic selection of first run and artsy movies for over 30 years. If you've grown up with the big stadium seating theaters, you probably won't like this but giving something new a try might just turn... More

Right in the middle of historic Ghent neighborhood surrounded by great restaurants. The Naro shows movies that you will not see in the big theaters. It has an eclectric menu of movies. Check out their website for their calendar.

This is not a closet style movie, this is the real deal. And the movies that they show are fantastic. Cannes film festival, indie, Sundance, independent, etc. And for the fans of Rocky Horror Picture show... This is definitely the place!

Whenever we're looking to see a film with limited showings, we visit the Naro Expanded Cinema. It's been around forever. We love coming here and combining it with dining in Ghent. There's lots of parking available with many and varied dining options. It is an old theater with limited concessions. But it's a great place to go when you don't... More

First runs and classics in a lovingly maintained family run theater. Friendly staff, real popcorn popper in the lobby and an honest to goodness balcony that you can still sit in. My favorite theater in town.

Naro reminds you of the old theatres that had personality. We even have seats with our names on them!

The Naro, in my opinion, is the only way to see a movie. Forget the megaplexes with gallon jugs of cokes, KFC buckets of popcorn and two mile treks to the bathroom. Go to the Naro to experience what cinema should really feel like!

The BEST! Fresh popcorn, real butter, reasonable concession prices. Well loved and well preserved old movie theater. And you can sit in the balcony. It's always worth seeing a movie here. Check the current movie schedule at http://narocinema.com/

For very little money ($6.50 for seniors), you get the best-chosen movies around. If it's playing at the Naro, it's going to be a good movie. I love it.
