My friend and I always go on cruises every time we go to the beach. We came across this at the Portsmouth information center were one of the staff recommended it to us as a great trip. When we got on the cruise the captain informed us of all the rules and we were off! He pointed out historical sites... More

I thoroughly enjoyed the Navy Base Cruise. The guide was informative and easy to listen to. If you want an air-conditioned area for the tour, stay on the lower deck in the cool and observe the ships through the tinted windows. But it is rather noisy in the back of the boat due to the motors. There is both shaded... More

This cruise was awesome and highly recommended! We got to see the oldest hospital in the country, the largest navel base, navel ships, shipping yards, and even seen some dolphins. The captain was very knowledgeable about the area and Navel ships! It was great to learn and see and some very interesting information. You could sit in the climate controlled... More

Very nice and comfortable tour. Got to see several navy ships including 3 subs and an aircraft carrier. Park on main across from the Nautilus building like the previous reviewer said. Thank you for that review. Very helpful.

Behind the scenes of Norfolk Naval Base. The cruise showed you all the piers that held the naval ships. It even showed the brand new attack submarine the navy just acquired. The captain of the Victory Rover was very informative of all the ships. Norfolk Naval Base is the largest base in the world. The cruise also went by the... More

Visited this tour with a large group of adults and four toddlers ages one to four on July the 4th. It was very enjoyable. If you are worried about parking, don't be: take Waterside Dr along the riverfront until you come to the intersection directly across from a huge building called the Nauticus... At this intersection you should be able... More

Took this tour with a former sailor who was stationed in Norfolk, and even he learned a thing or two! Great way to see the ships up close and personal. The deck was very windy, however there is a large enclosed area downstairs. There are snacks and drinks available for purchase. The crew was very friendly and helpful!

We had a great tour! It lasted about 2 hours and we learned a ton of information. The tour starts out around Norfolk and provides some local highlights. It then continues to the Naval base. While you stay outside of the secure area, you get a good view of all of the ships and subs that happen to be in... More

This is a unique possibility to see so many extraordinary Navy ships at the same time. Even, if some ships are gone and not in the bay. The narrative is very informative. Obligatory attractions for those, who are fond of ships, army, navy, military and technical freaks.
