My family and I really enjoyed this museum. My kids got to touch nurse sharks and horseshoe crabs. We were there late in the day because we toured the USS Wisconsin first (awesome!), so some of the exhibits were closed. Other than that, I have no complaints.

My husband served for over a year on the USS Wisconsin during the Gulf War so it was excellent to be able to visit this ship again many years later! I can still see the ship pulling into port in Norfolk on their return from the Gulf War and all those memories flooded back when we pulled up to the... More

While on vacation in Virginia Beach, we took our 10 yr old son to the Nauticus maritime center to see the USS Wisconsin battleship. It was only a half hour drive from the beach resort & well worth it. It was so much better than we expected. The museum was so full of information, history & cool exhibits (including small... More

I come from a NAVY family and was in the NAVY my self, so you may think " what's the big thrill? Well, it is very educational and there are great displays. Even the kids will love it.

I brought a group of teenagers from Chicago to the museum. It took our students about two hours to go through the Nautilus and the retired USS Wisconsin. The museum has a ton of information on the navy and its participation in wars including The Civil War and War of 1812. The museum also profiles the transition from wood to... More

What could be more fun than running around the deck of an Iowa class Battleship? The musuem has great exhibits, many of which are good for kids too. The kids had the opportunity to pet a shark. How cool is that? There is dining on site and a nice gift shop too.

So much history and information, all presented creatively and easy to understand. Many fun and informative activities geared for children (but also enjoyable for adults). Can be seen in a couple hours, but plan to spend the day to take in all that it has to offer. Be sure to visit the battle ship, USS Wisconsin, too.

The museum is very fun and informative for the whole family. But the icing on the cake is the real Battleship Wisconsin on the side dock. The retired military personnel on the ship (volunteers) is a plus to everyone who wants to learn from true sailors about this huge ship. The cannons are impressive and so are the anchors. It... More

Started out on the Victory Rover naval base cruise from Nauticus. Got to learn and see about the battleships and cargo ships. Toured the museum where we got to see pieces of naval history with an aquarium area. Explored the USS Wisconsin to see a battleship up close. It was a great experience that I think people of all ages... More
