The only down side is you must give yourself a lot of time to see tour the ship and the adjacent exhibits including the memorial with bronzed letters from various wars. The ship is incredible and the docents some of whom served on the Wisconsin are very good. You will learn things like where the expression rack time comes from.... More

Extremely impressive and awe inspiring. To think this was accomplished without computers makes the Wisconsin all the more worth admiring. The museum is neatly laid out and well done. By far better than the Naval Base tour.

The Wisconsin is great to visit, but not much else struck our fancy in the attraction. Surprisingly disappointed. Two small children 3 and 1 years had a few things of interest (little pretend sail boat, small fish tank) but lost interest quickly. Lots of square feet without a lot of substance. The shark attraction is a teeny tiny tank (think... More

I was not all that interested in visiting Nauticus after visiting the Norfolk Naval Air Station....figured i had seen it all. Nauticus is different as it focuses on the port activities, not just the military activities. The museum is really well done, even my 10 and 14 year olds loved it. Connecting to the USS Wisconsin was a real treat.... More

We went over Christmas because my brother-in-law wanted to see the USS Wisconsin. Very interesting. You are able to visit a large part of the ship, including where the sailors and officers slept, ate, and used the bathrooms! The museum they have right before visiting the ship is very good, as is the section devoted to Senator John Warner. On... More

Had fun exploring here. I suggest going to the ship first then here. It just worked out better for us. The kids really enjoyed themselves here.

Toured the Nauticus Museum in Norfolk. This is also the start of the tour of the USS Wisconsin battleship BB-64, last in service in the first gulf war. Big guns! Officers' quarters and the bridge were most interesting. Take a boat tour up the bay and see all the ships in dock. A day well spent.

We were happy to visit the museum and the battleship. It has very good material for kids. I found it expensive.
