Go often here to see my old ship the USS WISCONSIN (BB 64). The tours of her are free and they add more to her often. The museum is nothing to skip either. The exhibits and ability to interact make it a true place for all families to visit.

It was a rainy day so we decided to find something indoors. The museum was a good choice. Has lots of neat stuff and some good views.

Wonderful atmosphere and very family friendly! We also took the naval base tour on the Victory Rover while we were here and I would recommend that to anybody!

Just a short drive from Virginia Beach, this was a great outing. The museum had great interactive exhibits for the kids and a lot of interesting history and info for the adults. We took two kids, ages 8 & 5, who were so entertained that we ended up being there over 4 hours. Being able to tour the USS Wisconsin... More

My husband is a military history buff. He was so intrigued with all the museum exhibits from all the wars. I liked the aquatic exhibits as I enjoy watch sea life. We didn't spend a lot of time on the USS Wisconsin because it was 100 degrees outside. However it is an amazing vessel. We enjoyed our time at Nauticus.

A very interactive museum with activities, videos, displays and information for all ages. Plan on spending at least 2 hours. Something for everyone. Cafe is available for eating with self serve or order food to be prepared. If you are on a schedule or short of time, eat only the self serve. Prepared to order food takes a very long... More

I could not believe how amazing this museum was. I went with two teenagers and my husband and myself. I thought for sure the boys would not find anything interesting. I WAS WRONG! The boys loved the interactive museum exhibits as well as the shark tank. They enacted most of the items including steering the vessel. I was so surprised... More

Nauticus was a pleasant surprise. I expected to be going to a decent Maritime museum with some great historical/naval connections - but I did not expect to be blown away by the experience. This museum is educational, respectful, and fun. There are plenty of "hands on" things to do - and is both adult and child friendly. There aren't many... More

This was a pleasant surprise. Many different areas in this place. Many videos, water experiments, pet a shark, use underwater tools, learn about wartime and non wartime maritime history. Spent about an hour on here without watching videos. Could have spent more time if we had it. It is bright and spacious. Kids really liked it. They have a cafeteria... More

We liked all the interactive displays. I even had fun with the periscope. The mock set ups for everything Navy was just great. My friends had to take me away from the Commander's chair, I was having fun "driving" the ship. Bring the kids, they will enjoy this attraction.
