We thought we would spend a couple of hours toruing the musseum and the USS Wisconsin but the museum is a wonderful and engrossing picture into the history of the area and the naval history of the Portsmouth/Norfolk bases. We got so into the different floors of displays in the museum we barely had any time to tour the awesome... More

We visited the Nauticus museum as part of a Cub Scout trip recently. We toured the museum, then spent the night on the Wisconsin, sleeping in the enlisted men's bunks. Our cub scout troop kids loved it, and I heard nothing but rave reviews for the parents involved as well. The staff for the overnight was great-- the activities ran... More

The maritime center presents a nice overview of the areas naval history from the founding of the country through the present. A good portion of the focus is on the USS Wisconsin which is understandable since the ship is a museum right there. However, additional displays on the current mission of the navy with the carrier and submarine force stationed... More

Since the admission price for Nauticus is included with the Wisconsin, it's well worth it to see the exhibits and hands-on experiments. I was with a group of fellow sailors, so we got in free, and we had as much fun as the kids.

In the hight of a parade and a military festival, the staff e was very nice as well as informative of the museum and is surroundings. Being here from another state they were patient and understanding that we had no idea where we were going or what we were doing. Thanks to all who helped.

If you like anything US Navy or military history, you MUST visit this museum. My wife, kids, and I visited in early April. We enjoyed our time at the museum. We really enjoyed exploring the USS Wisconsin battleship. We spent about 2.5 hours at the museum and I think you could easily spend another 2-3 hours there too. There are... More

I spent the afternoon at the Half Moone Event & Cruise (NAUTICUS) Center and simply found the location a perfect place to host parties and events. It's large and has great visuals of the Elizabeth River. I was surprised how spacious and organized the venue was. I look forward to more events at this location.

Lots of cool things to see, and fun stuff to interact with for the kids. We visited early in the day and had most exhibits to ourselves. We combined this visit with a boat tour, and so couldn't spend as much time as we would have liked touring here.

We all enjoyed the museum and its variety of exhibits and activities. My boys enjoyed the hands-on activities. We also took the Victory Rover tour which was excellent.

We really enjoyed the museum. Such a variety of things to see from naval to sea life to 3D movies. Loved touring the Wisconsin battleship. We had a very nice conversation with the docent Veteran. He didn't serve on the Wisconsin but had a great story connected with his ship and the Wisconsin.
