We took the bus tour through the base and found it very interesting and informative. Picture taking is limited, but you can understand that. The USS Cole was docked when we visited, and we got to see the memorial for the terrorist attack on that ship. There were some beautiful homes there, and their history was interesting. Loved the narration... More

This is a bus tour around the naval base in a bus with commentary. You don't get very close to the ships and picture taking is restricted. You get to learn quite a bit about the USN, and how they look after and commemorate their own. Really quite a fascinating place. Admission fee quite reasonable.

This is the mother of all naval shipyards and worth a tour! The views of the water are also fabulous.

It has been forty years since I had served on a US destroyer, and seeing the new fleet, and the USS Theodore Roosevelt CV-71, which had just returned from a deployment, was a treat.

Saw some pretty cool stuff during this tour. Guides were very helpful, and made the tour interesting and fun. Is a little difficult to get to if you are not driving.

Have never been to a Naval post prior to this, but it was well worth it. The base is wonderfully maintained and the tour was informative and fun. Such rich history here for sure. The only thing I disliked was we could not photograph the ships as dock. I understand why, but would have still loved to get some up... More

I guess you can blame 9/11 for the downsizing of this tour. Photo taking restricted. Nothing of interest up close. A 30 minute ride around the the outskirts of this facility. The closest you get to a ship of pier is about 100 yards. You can see more of interest from the harbor boat tour.

2 hours and wonderful value for money. With an excellent commentary from a very knowledgeable Captain. This Naval base has to be seen.

It was awesome to see the battle ships USS Missouri/ USS Truman and aircraft carriers docked at the port.!!. This is where my brother was based at first and then on to other ports. It was a must see for me and my family. Did not take a tour but drove around...so very interesting . The pictures we took turned... More

We were expecting a up close and personal tour of the Naval base. I was not very impressed with the tour. I would recommend that you go and spend your $10x X somewhere else. The guide was not very knowledgeable about the base. They would not let you take pictures around the carriers when you were 100 yards from the... More
