Have never been to a Naval post prior to this, but it was well worth it. The base is wonderfully maintained and the tour was informative and fun. Such rich history here for sure. The only thing I disliked was we could not photograph the ships as dock. I understand why, but would have still loved to get some up... More

I guess you can blame 9/11 for the downsizing of this tour. Photo taking restricted. Nothing of interest up close. A 30 minute ride around the the outskirts of this facility. The closest you get to a ship of pier is about 100 yards. You can see more of interest from the harbor boat tour.

2 hours and wonderful value for money. With an excellent commentary from a very knowledgeable Captain. This Naval base has to be seen.

It was awesome to see the battle ships USS Missouri/ USS Truman and aircraft carriers docked at the port.!!. This is where my brother was based at first and then on to other ports. It was a must see for me and my family. Did not take a tour but drove around...so very interesting . The pictures we took turned... More

We were expecting a up close and personal tour of the Naval base. I was not very impressed with the tour. I would recommend that you go and spend your $10x X somewhere else. The guide was not very knowledgeable about the base. They would not let you take pictures around the carriers when you were 100 yards from the... More

We had the pleasure to drive around the base looking at all the ships and a sub moored to the docks on a beautiful sunny day. My favorite was the USNS Comfort, one of two hospital ships in the world. Awesome!

I got to drive around the base with my fiancee, so I could get a feel for the place before I move out there. This place is huge, compared to any other base he's been at, but it's beautiful. The grounds are nice and green and the ships in port are a sight to behold. Obviously, I didn't take the... More

The bus tour of the base is about 45 minutes long and includes everything from seeing McDonalds to the amazing ships in the harbor. The tour guide is a naval officer and has a lot of stories to share. Worth $10 maybe because of getting to see the ships, even at a distance. After our tour we happened to be... More

If you are interested in the military, this is a nice place to visit. They give you a free 45 minute tour on a bus around the base. Pictures are not allowed during most of the tour, but they do stop in a parking lot and let you take a few pictures from the bus window.
