Although I served in the World's Greatest Army for 36 years, it was awesome to see the Norfolk Naval Base. Since we have conflicts around the world, there weren't many ships or carriers in port. But the ships that were there, it was cool to see how hugh they are. We also got to tour the base and see sailors... More

It was hard to believe that our entire town was about the same size as this base. Seeing the giant ships in person was a once in a lifetime experience.

I had the chance to tour the largest naval base in the world with a family member who is based at the Norfolk Naval Station. This base was amazing to see. The ships were incredible. The people around the base are very friendly and helpful. There are many places to eat on base as well. It was a true honor... More

It was great to go on the bases and feel like we were coming home, it had been many years since being there and it gave us great memories.

Our tour of the Naval Base was only $10/each for approx. a 45 minute bus tour. We saw several ships, destroyers and an aircraft carrier. We also saw the rest of the base including homes that were built for the Jamestown Expo. Please note: They only take CASH for the tour.

Norfolk is home to many US Navy Surface ships and submarines. It is the largest Naval base in the world. It is home to many Navy schools and Seal Team #1 (I believe). We were there as part of a US Navy reunion and received an escorted trip around the base. Please remember our Sailors, Soldiers, Marines, Airmen and Coast... More

I might be a little partial being a Navy wife but I love this base. I love seeing all of the ships lined up and the sun shining over them. I love it at Christmas when the ships have their Christmas lights up. The base as a whole is just a sight to see, that's for sure. It is hard... More

Anyone in the area should visit and see what our Navy is doing to keep this country great. As a veteran, I strongly support our military, and urge others to visit here and see our men and women in action.

We went to visit my brother who is stationed there and he gave me a tour of the base. If you are ever curious where your tax dollars go and want to see what they are spent on, then go here! Those rows of ships are a reminder of how great we really are! I dont hink its open to... More

My Lady and I were born and reared in Norfolk thru high school. At 70, I’ve returned and retired in Norfolk, and she often visits from New York. The Navy and the Norfolk Naval Base have been an indelible part of our formative years. Perhaps it was just a bad day … but our bus tour with narration was just... More
