Situated up on a hill surrounded with Tuscany vinyards makes a dramatic scenery. The views from the castel ia amazing making it excellent photo oportunity. The grounds of the estate are huge with beautiful plants such as many lemon trees. The wine tasting and the food was great while in a basement you can explore wine making and see how... More

Took the Chianti Tradition Tour at Verrazzano and the only word I can think of to describe it is "Magnificent". The tour consisted of a walk around the grounds and through the Castle with a knowledgeable guide giving us a breakdown of the history. Our guide, Camille, was perfect. The Castle is a stunning piece of the past and is... More

The best part of this place is the chance to see the size and scope of their production. The tour through their wine cellar is interesting with the chance to do a tasting with a nice Chianti meal at the end. Although I have to admit being on a tour with 20 other people made my next experience at a... More

I've been here twice now and both times were amazing! Most recently my husband and I were travelling with my parents who were celebtating their 60th wedding anniversary . We could have gone to any number of fine establishments but chose to return to Verrazano where we had gone 9 years earlier and had enjoyed it immensely. We were not... More

Beautiful estate with stunning views!!! Highly recommend the Thursday tour/tasting/dinner for large or small groups. A great deal in my opinion for only €58 per person. We were a group of 10 with one child and one vegetarian and they were very accommodating. The evening started out with a glass of sparkling wine on the terrace which offered a stunning... More

Before we went to florence we looked online at vineyard tours- as quite independent travellers we didn't fancy a coach tour approach. Also a lot of the tours we found online were very expensive. When we came across this one, we were a bit dubious about what we would get as it was very very cheap at 16euro per person.... More

The view will blow you away. The road from siena is narrow and windy in some parts but well worth the trip. This is the heart of chianti wine country and the wines are easy to drink and very good value. The grounds are well manicured and staff are so friendly and helpful, you will feel welcome and refreshed.

Many travelers won't have heard of Verrazzano, although I'm sure New Yorkers will have for obvious reasons. I knew he was an explorer but had no idea of his connection to distinguished wine producers, so the history is interesting. The house is worth seeing, and the staff at the bar were really great. They don't charge for wine tasting if... More

If you want to see a tourist centric extremely large clinical wine centre in Chianti then this is for you. If you want to see a typical Chianti wine growing farm then find somewhere else - preferably organic

The Chianti area abounds with places to taste the local wine and good but this is one of the best. It claims to be the oldest producer and the family gave birth to the discoverer of New York. The tour starts with a visit to the castle tower them on through the winery stopping to absorb the story of the... More
