My wife and I attended the wine and food experience today 3rd July 2015. What an experience, the location is breathtaking, our guide Gillian was fun and very knowledgable, and British which made all the better. The whole experience from beginning to end was extremely enjoyable and the food and wine added to the enjoyment. Five bottles of wine and... More

We went to this gorgeous castle and grounds and enjoyed the delicious food and wine. However, our group was quite large and there were so many tour groups with buses so we often had to wait for a group to finish their portion of the tour to move to their location. It was very difficult to hear our guide, who... More

Entertaining tour guide explained the history of the castle and the wine making process unique for Chianti. The views were spectacular. The " light lunch" began with pasta, then I was handed a large plate of meats that our table thought was to pass and share until the waiters arrived with one for everyone! The wine tasting was generous (4... More

oh my goodness, this was the most amazing wine & food tasting we experienced in Chianti. The tour itself was so beautiful and rich in history. You end the tour at their on site restaurant for a 5 course meal with generous wine tasting. I'm not sure what was better - the food or the wine, but I wish I... More

3 friends from Finland had a nice time at the Castello. The actual tour of the Castello is focused on few cellar rooms and bit of history, not much new to people who have (at least) basic knowledge of the winemaking process. The light lunch will be enough to fill your stomach and very good and you get to sample... More

We made sure we arrived on a Thursday night in time for the 'Farm Meal'. We booked into our accommodation while the rest of the diners did their castle tour. The hosts suggested we relax, freshen up etc and that we could do the tour in the morning seeing as we were staying a few days. Great idea! The meal... More

You don't have to even like wine to love Castello Di Verrazzano. It is a gorgeous place atop a hill overlooking a classic Italian vista of olive groves and grape orchards and is simply stunning. The winery tour was both informative and like a walk back in time. The wine tasting was excellent and included a few nibbles which were... More

What a great decision that was the meal and experience was absolutely a blast food and wine over the top. Spend the extra... More

We visited the winery in April 2015 and would highly recommend visiting the Verrazzano and neighbouring Vicchiomaggio if you are tight for time and want a proper introduction to historic vineyards in the Chianti region. Gillian was a fantastic tour guide and this was one of our top two favourite wineries that we visited in Italy (the other one was... More

We happened upon the road side setup where we tasted a few selections and heard about the history of the winery. We drove up to the main estate but didn't go in. Views are off the hook. Pro tips: 1. This section of Chianti is within an area of approx. 100 vineyards along Rt. 222. Pretty easy to meander along... More
