We arrived on a beautiful day and enjoyed a tour prior to a group dinner. The history of the winery was intriguing and the tour informative. At dinner we learned how to properly taste (not drink) a glass of good wine. I learned that I've been doing it wrong for years! Lol. Smell. Swish the glass around. Smell again. Taste... More

Gillian leads an informative and interesting tour with humor and style. There is A wine tasting lesson after the tour and, depending on which tour you select, a lunch, a plate of cheeses and meats, or just some cheese and bread to go with the wines. We learned a lot about the vintages, particularly about how chianti is made and... More

We booked a lunch and tour at this vineyard and we learned so much from the techniques of making Chianti clasico and the history of the castle- thanks to Mateo our castle "tour" guide. Come hungry for lunch as there is plenty of food and wine!

We didn't have a budget to hire a driver (would have loved to) so we took the bus from Florence to Greve. About 4 euro each and about one hour each way. Bus driver was nice enought to let us know when to get off. They were booked for lunch so we were disappointed that we weren't able To have... More

The vineyard is beautiful and the guides are very knowledgeable. The lunch hour was the real treat, but is largely dependent on the company you are seated with. We were very lucky and got a talkative group which made lunch all that more enjoyable. The views are marvelous - don't miss the balsamic vinegar room!

What can I say. This is a place not to be missed. If you haven't been here yet put it on your bucket list. I am not a wine connoisseur, but I do like my wine. I learnt so much about the efforts these people go to to produce a high quality wine, and although it would be wasted on... More

We happened upon this lovely winery on a beautiful sunny spring afternoon. We are sorry we didn't have time to dine there but did enjoy tasting many of their splendid wines. Our group bought quite a few bottles. My favorite was the Philip 2009, which I treated myself to. We wish we'd had more time to enjoy this place....maybe next... More

Our guide was so informative about the wines of the area and vineyards in general. Toured the areas where the wine is stored in different types of barrels. When that part of the tour was complete, we had lunch and of course tasted several wines. The lunch was great and filling so that the Noon tour lasted until around 3pm... More

We caught the public bus from Florence to Greve. It was easy and a nice ride. Be sure to let the bus driver know where you need to get off. Jillian picked us up at the wine shop as the walk is long and steep. We signed up for "The Wine Experience" and it was one of our favorite things... More
