You don't have to even like wine to love Castello Di Verrazzano. It is a gorgeous place atop a hill overlooking a classic Italian vista of olive groves and grape orchards and is simply stunning. The winery tour was both informative and like a walk back in time. The wine tasting was excellent and included a few nibbles which were... More

I was traveling with my wife and three other couples and we were going here for the tour and wine tasting after looking at menu and experience we decided to do the full course meal and tasting. What a great decision that was the meal and experience was absolutely a blast food and wine over the top. Spend the extra... More

We visited the winery in April 2015 and would highly recommend visiting the Verrazzano and neighbouring Vicchiomaggio if you are tight for time and want a proper introduction to historic vineyards in the Chianti region. Gillian was a fantastic tour guide and this was one of our top two favourite wineries that we visited in Italy (the other one was... More

We happened upon the road side setup where we tasted a few selections and heard about the history of the winery. We drove up to the main estate but didn't go in. Views are off the hook. Pro tips: 1. This section of Chianti is within an area of approx. 100 vineyards along Rt. 222. Pretty easy to meander along... More

We visited the beautiful grounds of the castle, the gardens as well as the cellars with clear explanation of the history and wine making process. To our surprise, we were more impressed by the creamy vinegar tasting (10 year old balsamic tradisionale vinegar, transferred each year to a smaller barrel) than the wine tasting. Incredible rich creamy taste that goes... More

I can't stress enough how wonderful this winery is. My wife and I have been to quite a few winery tours, and this was definitely top notch! Our guide was fun, courteous, and knowledgeable. The grounds are beautiful...we learned not only about wine, but also balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Take your camera! The lunch is SUCH an amazing deal!... More

We took the morning tour at 10am because of our dog. We had a great tour guide (we are no wine experts) could ask him everthing. There are several tours also with dinner or lunch. Food smelled good.

This wine tour is excellent, and in such a beautiful place you will never want to leave! With delicious wine and a knowledgeable tour guide, Ezra, I would recommend this to any friend!

We left Forence later than planned on a rainy day and decided to stop at Castello Verrazzano. What a surprise! The dirt road led to this beautiful castle, we arrived after lunch was served but they said perhaps we could get coffee. Well, the server came out and was able to offer us a pasta dish and an antipast salad... More

Me and my boyfriend took a trip here and we're expecting something much more authentic. The tour guides are used to inexperienced tourists and tell you very predictable things about the wine and the area. Really nothing exceptional. Worth looking into something much more local.
