My fiance and I took the Chianti Tradition tour in March. Since it was the off season, we were the only ones in the tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. At the end of the tour we sampled 4 wines and a plate of different local meats and cheeses in the tasting room. This was a very... More

I'm not one for any tours but was told this was worth it....and it was, A quick tour of the gardens, explanation of the history of the Verrazano family, especially Giuseppe, the wine cellars and then into good stuff. Generous servings of all their wines, not the usual sip you get with tasting, with a large antipasto lunch as well... More

Wine Tour was very good, with plenty of local history thrown in. Not only do learn about the wine and it's history, but the feudal systems and family rivalries.

My boyfriend and I visited Tuscany in February, which is obviously the off-season. We spent a day in Chianti and the day would honestly have been disappointing if it weren't for our stop at the Castello di Verrazzano. The tour was very fun and informative. The tour guide's knowledge of geography was amazing (he knew about small suburbs in Colorado!).... More

Wanted to see this Estate since I live near where Giovanni da Verrazzano found the port of New York and whose name is given to the beautiful Verrazzano Bridge. Definitely a stop in Chanti. Good wine.

We stumbled into Castello di Verrazzano almost by accident. We were driving from Montecatini to the Greves and had to pick an address on the GPS so we randomly picked the winery. We were just about to turn around when the directions took us up a dirt road but we decided to see where we were headed. We pulled into... More

We visited on a rainy misty day but the place is still so beautiful. Took the local bus from Florence to the bus stop for the Castle. The Castle sent a van down to bring us up the hill due to the rain. Loved the tour and the delicious light lunch with several wines. Charming guide-Learned a lot about the... More

The Castello di Verrazzano was the highlight of our last trip to Italy. It is just off the Chianti Highway, a bit north of Greve center. You can take a bus from Florence to the foot of the hill, and it's a nice walk to the top, if you're a walker. The other reviewers said "have Gino as your guide,"... More

Returned for one of many visits with my son and daughter-in-law. They boast that it was the highlight of their trip to Italy. We have been a dozen wine tours in Napa and Toscany and this is by far the best. Gino is a fantastic host. Appeals to all levels. Not to be missed!

Stayed in the "farmhouse" at the Castello di Verrazzano and did the wine tour and "light lunch" the following day. Our stay was beautiful - it is about 1km from the castle in nicely decorated and clean rooms with beautiful views of the castle. The tour is fantastic - great views throughout and an immaculate property. The "light lunch" was... More
