The local tour guide was funny and told us a lot about wine making. Check for the tour hours (as of October 2014, it's 10 AM, 11 AM and 3 PM) - it's an absolute must if you're in the area.

you can read up on the history of this place. and then you will know. the tour, the wine, the food, the atmosphere is simply out of this world. it is, by far, a top notch operation. hope you get the chance to experience this place .

We had reservations for a lunch and tour. We initially thought it was a bit pricey but OMG with the tour and lunch it was definitely worth the price. Geno our tour guide was interesting, he spoke English and had a very fun and interesting knowledge about the winery and its history. The lunch was well worth the cost. The... More

This winery is where the Italian explorer Giovanni da Verrazzano was born and the namesake of New York's Verrazzano Narrows Bridge. The castle dates from about 1,00 AD. The five families that live in the castle all work in the winery and some have been living there for three generations! The wines at lunch are Chianti and Chianti Classico. The... More

A good thorough tour, if not a little over-rehearsed. Wine samples, olive oil samples tasty! Good value for money.

We didn't have a reservation (though I suggest you make one) and were very pleased to arrive about 11:45 and make it onto the 12:00 tour. We had a group of about 16 people (I prefer private tours, but this was OK as it was a good group and our guide was great). We spent about an hour touring the... More

The reason we chose this place was really random, but i was so happy we did! We didn't make an appointment and we showed up in between sessions, so we had time to kill before our tour. The staff was nice enough to let us walk in the vineyards and take photos. It was really breathtaking. The tour itself was... More

What a location to celebrate my 60th Birthday. We stayed 4 nights in the accommodation which is well located just outside Greve. It is close to Sienna San Gimignano & Florence. The accommodation is adequate and could do with WIFI. For the day of my birthday we booked the wine tasting and dinner and were totally amazed by the experience.... More

One of the best tour guides... so full of energy and passion, and full of knowledge both of the wines and the history of the estate.

We did a tour of the winery accompanied by a lunch, and the experience was amazing. The guide (who works at the winery) was so passionate about his wines that it was infectious. The lunch was delicious and was accompanied from fantastic wines from the wineries. Highly recommended!
