All along this port are cute restaurants and shops ... but make sure you go up a side street towards the old castle and into the maze!! There are many restaurants that have beautiful views of the sea, shops, cafes, etc. It was fun getting lost and just winding down the streets... I felt like I was exploring alleys from... More

Cannot fault Naxos Chora. Winding streets full of shops, stalls bars and tavernas. The harbour front is lined with shops and places to eat. We sat back and watched the hustle and bustle and enjoyed every minute.

The ambiance. We loved the narrow winding passages , the many flowers and the many restaurants within easy walking distance. Our hotel had a lovely charm with wonderful archeological finds displayed. We enjoyed listening to the classical and folk music emanating from the 15C venetian kastro (fortress) in the evening just above Chateau Zevgoli.

Taking you alongside of restaurants, bars and shops. It reminded us of little Venice in Mykonos, although this seemed.... older and more genuine then Mykonos. It is also more mixed with houses where people actually live, giving it a more authentic feel. All in all: when in Naxos, do visit the Old Town for a strawl.

Old town seemed to have little surprises around every twist and turn. There was the usual tourist fare but also some really unique and interesting stores. We also found fresh baked chocolate chip cookies right out of the oven

This old town is just incredible . When you get to the part that says it's " the market" this is the part people refer to as the labyrinth or maze. Easiest way to find it is from the sea front . On the sea front a taverna called " captains" walk up the right hand side of the taverna... More

Old Naxos unspoilt to the present day, lazy days wandering around the old town is a great feeling...

Very picturesque, quaint stores and restaurants-very charming. Worth the visit. You have a great selection of restaurants for all budgets and souvenir shops for gifts. Nice to walk in the morning, afternoon or later in the evening. For all ages.
