The old town area is wonderful to explore and is almost impossible not to photograph, as around every new passageway there is a new discovery. Don't be in a hurry, as you will almost certainly not be able to get where you want quickly. A must see in Naxos.

It is worth taking time to wander through this maze of streets and archways. There are lots of little shops selling a variety of souvenirs and handmade goods. As you wander it is easy to feel like you have stepped back in time. Every now and then you come across a little square shaded from the sun.

So cute. Nice little shops. Beatiful landscape. You also have to rent a car and tour the island. Some areas are breath taking. Cute little villages.

It's an easy walk up from the port into the old town of Naxos. A must do if only to get away from the busy restaurants, shops and street below. The narrow winding alleys are a pleasant diversion and there's the Castle along the way. Try as you might, you really can't get lost in the maze of streets (just... More

Go up into the Chora, shops, chic bars and restaurants a plenty. Go more than once and it I unlikely you will travel the same paths twice

Nice place to walk around. Good restaurants. Safe and quiet. A few nice bars open late in the night.

The old town is absolutely beautiful. It is a myriad of cobbled streets taking you back to ancient times gone by. It is full of hidden shops, tavernas, hip bars and cafes. There is a buzz and a mixture of contemporary and old. Have been so many times but it never loses it's flair and it always seems like the... More

Situated above the port, there is a wealth of funky stores, neat narrow alleyway, and a photographers dream. We were there at the end of the season(late September), so all the stores had sales. Lots of quality items from jewellery, leather, clothes and toys. Make time to see it......its really a fun stroll.

Walking through the narrow alleyways and stone streets made us feel like we were stepping back in time! It was so quaint and charming!
