A pity that so many restaurants, shops and tourist attractions are closed in November.....there are plenty of tourists wanting to travel in the off season.

Naxos is one of the best greek island and old town is the place to be on the evenings. Walk trough the narrow aisles, you will discover many boutiques, restaurants and bars. Always very friendly. Highly recommended.

Unlike a lot of the medieval towns in Greece Hora Old Town feels very much lived in. A good selection of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants together with the Venetian Museum and castle make this a must see venue on the island

I didn't know that Naxos' old town was that big. Behind the sea front there were a lot of stairs and tiny streets with bars, restaurants, shops and private dwellings.

We enjoyed old town Naxos. There is a vast number of restaurants to feast in and tons of shops! The Archeological museum is worth a visit and there are other historical sites to visit!

I love this town. It has everything. It is at the harbor where the fishing boats and ferries come. There are lots of restaurants lined up along the quay (although these are not nearly as good as the restaurants at the platia) and within a 5 minute walk from the quay. The castro is interesting with its Venetian Castle and... More

Stroll through the narrow corridors and walkways makes you feel like you are stepping into ancient times. It is like a maze. Amazing to just walk around and take things in.

We wandered around there amongst the locals, checking out the local shops. We wandered up hill and down dale and thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance of the town. The old part has tiny streets which weave up and down. We went to the big Catholic Church but unfortunately it was closed. There are lots of little boutique shops with hand made... More
