The Castle can be a little hard to find if coming in from Old Town, but if you go east along the port it's easy to spot to the right. I particularly enjoyed the view of Paros and the sea from its location. It has an interesting history which the Venetian Museum can fill in.

Well preserved old Castle on the hill overlooking the port & Naxos Town with a bit of a walk up steps and with winding narrow streets surrounding it. Built in 1207 by a Venetian Crusader Marco on the ruins of the ancient acropolis it has been inhabited ever since. There is the Byzantine Museum, Churches & other Museums and is... More

A little tricky to find but there are signs to help, quite a bit of walking so not great for those with mobility issues. However, once you get inside, the house is wonderfully preserved with an info guide and information on the walls, find the balcony off one of the rooms for a spectacular view of the entire harbour.

What fun! We viewed Casablanca (English) with German subtitles (a German couple was in the group) with choice of wine, water, Ouzo (which we tried) in a beautiful outdoor setting. Very enjoyable!

Lovely position overlooking the town and port. Food also good. Vegetarians and others should try the Eggplant in clay pot!

We enjoyed walking around the Kastro. It was interesting around the siesta, but also very lively and fun at night.

Beautiful piece of jewellery. We ascended from the port, nice steep narrow streets, not a single person, beautiful venetian architecture, small lanes to get lost in. We enjoyed it, as compared to Santorini wasn't packed with loud tourists.

The Kastro is full of old original buildings, beams, alleyways and an open air theatre where we enjoyed a traditional Greek evening under the stars with a view out to the port. Definitely a must to explore. There are quite a few stairs to climb in places but taking our time we negotiated these easily. There is a lift at... More
