I enjoy walking the trails in the park with one exception. There is an area marked to beware of snakes. I am not a huge fan of snakes but have ventured on this trail twice. Both times I have encounter a snake. I don't go there any more. I still walk the other trails. I really prefer the Noland Trail... More

Nice place to walk around with history information placed about. Beautiful walkway over the water. Could spend hours here, nice little place to get away out of the "city" area.

The Newport News Park has a little bit of everything. There are boat rentals in two locations. There are walking trails. If you are into bow hunting or just playing around there is a range for target practice. The park has camping sites, playgrounds, picnic areas and even a golf course! Beautiful scenery

Newport News park has an array of activities for families. They have a campground, frisbee course, and at least three playgrounds. Boats and canoes are offered for rental. Amazing hiking trails and many picnic shelters for gatherings. They have one playground that is in the sun and one in the shade, which helps when it's sunny and hot. They have... More

This is a neat and nestled park…full of cute little wildlife (beavers, foxes, deers). You can rent bikes to use on the massive trails, I normally just take a nice leisurely stroll to unwind and DESTRESS. Yet another cool thing to take part in is my FAV thing to do "here" is paddle boating or you have MORE than enough... More
