I have just returned from a four-week visit to France. The first two weeks were spent as a language student at Coeur de France in Sancerre. Without a doubt, the pleasure of my entire trip was greatly enhanced by my two weeks at the school. As an adult learner, making significant strides in a second language can be frustrating but... I picked this school and the family program because I was looking for a way to introduce my daughter (9 years old) to language training while I also worked on continuing my education. We ended up bringing one of my daughter's friends (11 years old) with us to learn, as well. Our total investment to the school was 2,265 Euros... More

Although very long and negative your review is also very inaccurate. I encourage readers to carefully read it then compare it to the many, many others preceeding it. In so doing I am confident that an accurate and honest picture of Coeur de France is clear for all to see. It should be noted that you did promise us a... More

I highly recommend this school to anyone (child or adult) who would like to learn French, whether at the beginner level or at an advanced level. I came with a fluent knowledge of Spanish and 24 lessons of Pimsleur CDs and took the Beginner 2 course. The entire course was in French. I was amazed that I understood 95 percent... More

Learning French as an adult can be stressful, but immersion learning at Coeur de France was stress-free and a delight. Instructors are encouraging and professional and flexible about your needs. Gerard and Marianne who run Coeur de France are extremely helpful and want to make the experience memorable. Classes are four hours a day, instructors are patient and friendly. Extra... More

I completed the two week Beginning II course with the addition of private lessons. It was fantastic - simply perfect. It was the amazing experience that I expected - full language immersion, rapid learning, challenging conversation requirements, meaningful homework and classroom exercises and kind patience by the teachers and my co-students. Going into the program, I only wanted to experience... More

I have never formally studied French, but have used Rosetta Stone and a weekly French conversation class for the last two years. I was in a Beginning 2 class and Marianne was our instructor. She was absolutely wonderful with explaining concepts ( all in French) and made sure we all understood before moving on to another concept. She had great... More

My family spent 3 weeks at Coeur de France in January 2015. My eldest spent 3 weeks with Marianne da Cruz one on one, my two younger daughters with Valerie, and I with Marianne Chartrand. My husband also spent the first week at the school. We had a wonderful time and gained so much. The entire experience, life in Sancerre,... More

This was my second experience with a two week French Language Program at Coeur de France and I was enrolled in an intermediate level II program. I also attended in 2013. My experience with the program and my professor, Marianne Da Cruz exceeded my expectations. Marianne is extremely organized and focuses her teaching like a laser. She clearly explained everything... I spent a week at Coeur de France in early December and had an excellent experience. My teacher was Laurie and I hope to go back and learn with her again in 2015. She was extremely capable and took notice of my mistakes and spent time to help me correct them. We had a lot of fun over the course... More

If you are not the stereotypical student of the French language then I suggest that this is not the school for you. Despite having a week of one to one lessons, and several times voicing my concerns regarding the dissatisfaction that I had with the course that had been decided for me by my teacher during the first ten minutes... Bonjour. I'm surprised to learn that you were not satisfied with your 1 week private One to One tutorial course. It is unfortunate that this was not made known to me or my wife while you were here. I reviewed your mid-week course feedback which you completed on Wednesday to let us know how things are going and if you... More
