Description: New Kent Winery offers exceptional wines in a unique setting. Completed in...
New Kent Winery offers exceptional wines in a unique setting. Completed in 2008, the winery is mainly constructed of reclaimed historic building materials such as pre-Civil War brick, 40-foot heart pine beams from the 1850's, and century-old railroad trusses. Along with wine tasting, New Kent Winery offers tours of the building that tell of the history of the building materials as well as our winemaking process. Having planted the first vines in 2001, New Kent Winery features award-winning fine wines, including Chardonnay, Meritage and White Merlot. Following a tour and tasting, guests are invited to relax and take in the scenery of beautiful New Kent Vineyards on one of the expansive covered lounging porches. The winery also offers gifts, wine accessories, clothing and other items in our gift shop. New Kent Winery is also an ideal location to host any number of private events, from weddings and receptions to wine dinners and corporate functions. Located just off I-64, exit 211, between Richmond and Williamsburg.

Stunning scenery in a booming area of the county, pleasant staff, gorgeous facility, good but largely unremarkable wines. Not a slam, just don't expect gourmet wines - you will find one or two you like, so stick with them. New Kent Winery is well worth your time, enjoy an afternoon there!

It can be a bit confusing when you first enter, especially when it is busy on the weekends. The staff was pleasant and the wine good. There was a food truck available.

The selection is great, although this is not my favorite in the area. I prefer more dry wines. What is so great about New Kent is the location and the service. The young man who facilitated our tasting was very knowledgeable about wines in general. The location is picturesque and relaxing. I will stop again.

The winery has a ton of potential - good location in what is now a growing area of New Kent County, excellent facilities, and close proximity to a high end golf course (which happens to lack a proper club house). My wife grew up about 5 miles from the winery, so we are partial and hope it continues do well.... More

My husband and I stopped here on a wedding anniversary trip. We immediately fell in love with this gorgeous building. It is beautiful, inside and out. It wound up being a nice day,so we sat outside under one of their many patio heaters. The wines were all quite good, so it was difficult to choose one that we wanted to... More

The New Kent Winery is absolutely gorgeous! The interior of the tasting room is beautiful with authentic woods and the outdoor covered porch with tables, chairs, and rocking chairs looking out over the vineyard is amazing. The property is very quiet and you get a feel of being secluded (in a good way!) and away from the hustle bustle that... More

We visited all 4 wineries and this was our second favorite. This one had the best tour as they discussed the construction of the building which was very interesting. The wines were pretty good, but I think what propelled this into second place was the tour and the building.

There are very few wineries in the Williamsburg area and this one is still about 30 mins west of Williamsburg, but is worth the trip! We were very impressed with the large vineyard as we drove up and the grounds were perfectly landscaped and beautiful! The tasting room was very impressive and beautiful as well. We found many reclaimed accents... More

The rustic and classic feel of the main house paired with a warm greeting received immediately after entering definitely set the mood for the two days I was at the winery for a wedding. The facility is clean and beautifully kept, and the landscape is stunning. The wines on hand were also very tasty. All who were partaking in the... More

We attended a wedding here recently and had a great time. The main tasting room is very nice and they were able to hold the ceremony down in the cellar because of weather, which turned out to be unique. I didn't much care for the chardonnays or the red wines (dominated by Cabernet Franc), however a couple of the semi-sweet... More
