Interesting vignette of Our Lady of Fatima, but the true treasure is the virgin in the glass display box on the other side of the wall. Look at her face. It's amazing.

This is a great meeting point and start point for exploring Granada. It is right in the center of the city. There are food stands nearby, as well as musicians and other street vendors. The cathedral itself is charming. It has regular services so you will see a mix of locals and tourists coming in and out. If you are... More

Was closed when we were there, but it was still awe-inspiring to see this landmark in person! Worth the trip into downtown square-- take time to walk around, get a snack, and take in the local flair!

Fun booths, great access to restaurants. Beautiful architecture. Booths and sidewalk cafes just down the street.

We spent time in downtown Granada on our Nicaraguan tour. My wife and I love walking through Cathedrals and took the opportunity to walk through here. The sheer beauty of the church is hard to describe and pictures don't do it justice. The church also makes for great pictures from the outside and is a wonderful landmark of Granada. A... More

This cathedral can be seen from any high point in town. It really is obvious the Spanish influence through out all of Granada.

Great colonial architecture. Its directly in front of the park so other places and currency change areas are nearby. Very beautiful and huge.

From the outside, it's a great landmark, visible and attractive from long distances. Inside, there's little outside the ordinary; it is far behind cathedrals in Mexico and Guatemala. I was shocked to see bicycles parked only a few meters from the altar. As a place of prayer, great; but as a tourist attraction... there's not much here. The park in... More

A very typical cathedral - large and serene. Not overly decorated. The entrance is on one side near the central main plaza of the town. It is well worth the 15 - 20 minutes it would take for you to quietly walk around inside.

The cathedral is stunning on the outside but truthfully it is not that big a deal inside. Worth taking a look around.
