it is located in downtown Granada, in an old colonial house, it has in the entrance a nice fresco of the history from the indian time, Spanish conquest till nowadays. it offers a guide too and a souvenir selling place.

This is a must see, the 'to scale' model of Granada is one of the coolest things ever, art work is wonderful, archeological exhibit is splendid. Well worth a visit for tourists and locals should be very proud of it also.

The oldest church in Granada. Could not go inside as it was closed. Saw it while on a horse and carriage tour.

I wish some of the pieces were for sale because I would have hemorrhaged money on them. It's a little painful to see the sculptures exposed to the elements.

For museum lovers this was the most interesting museum I saw in Nicaragua. Leon also has some good museums. Diagonally to the left of the front door are two art galleries worth looking into.

nice place to visit if it's too hot outside. Has many corridors and shaded areas to set and enjoy the courtyards. Not a lot of artifacts or explanation of the city's history, but it's a starting point.

We live in the area and part of what we try to support are area cultural events, museums, etc.. This is a modest museum by most standards in the states but it has a relatively large collection of artifacts, photos, and displays. Some of the signage is lacking in terms of information but the docent on duty was very knowledgeable... More

We visited this museum as part of a tour booked through princess cruise lines. Our guide was excellent - on the history of Nicaragua and thoroughly versed in the history and culture of Nicaragua. Our tour guide spoke excellent English and made the tour well worth the time. Of all the tours we went on during this 15 day cruise... More

I enjoyed walking through and taking a look at the collection of art, unfortunately when I was there the actual church was not open to visiting so I could only peek in.

The town is not big on museums, but this collection is quite interesting and worth seeing. The spaces are well presented, the artifacts are of local significance. A nice escape from the sun and heat as well as the grounds and buildings let in a nice breeze from the lake... Worth seeing for the 2$ admission price... Hope this review... More
