While in Granada, I walked into this gallery. I was told everything was half off and they would ship me anything I'd like. It was not something I specifically asked for. After I picked out 240USD worth of pottery, they offered to sell it to me for 90USD + shipping 40USD. I bought 6pieces of pottery: 3 were large vases,... More

I had no idea there were so many negative reviews about this gallery, and had never even heard of the place until I happened upon it while on a trip through Granada. I have a soft spot for artwork and found the one employee Tony to be very fun to converse with, so I looked around and wound up deciding... More

I am amending my review below to add a bit more information after reading the otehr reviews. While our experience was very good, we brought our paintings home and did NOT have them shipped. My experiences were exactly as the reviews described --- charming owner with an interesting story. He offered to ship our paintings but we always pack a... More

Joining the ranks of the many who foolishly trusted Silvia Ubago (an American with Nicaraguan roots; currently an architect in Hawaii if even that part was true). Not only did we purchase pieces and have them shipped (advertised as free), but we paid in cash (necessary for the free shipping). Only wish we had check TripAdvisor first and seen the... More

Sure wish I had consulted Trip Advisor before puchasing at Gallery Ubago in Granada, Nicaraqua. We have been robbed as have others on this site. We (foolishly) paid in cash for items to be shipped "for free" back home. To add insult to injury, they were also very willing for us to leave a hammock we'd purchased for them to... More

I purchased and paid for our paintings and they still haven’t shown up at your home. After multiple calls to Silvio Ubago (the charming owner with great english a backstory that gave you confidence in your purchase) my calls are no longer being accepted and you are left with no where to turn but the internet. I was able to... More

My husband and I purchased 5 paintings from Silvio and Galeria Ubago in March. Thank god we used credit card. He was supposed to have all 5 shipped via DHL by the coming wknd (4 days). After what probably amounts to hundreds of emails, phone calls, even Facebook stalking and messaging, we were unable to get any response from the... More

My wife and I purchased four pieces of pottery at Galleria Ubago and paid for them in full. We were told by the gallery owner, Silvio Ubago, that there would be no problem shipping our pottery to the United States and that we should expect it to arrive at our home within four to six weeks. He also offered to... More

This gallery sell their items at twice the price then anybody in Granada. The owner sells you the items and tells you he will ship you the items and then he keeps the items and the shipping money as well. The biggest scam in the city. You can find the same art in the park or anywere else in Granada... More

We purchased a beautiful clay vase @ Galaria Ugago back in Jan, 2012 along with a number of other items. The vase was a special gift for my sister and was to be shipped to her in California. Silvio, the owner, assured us that the vase would arrive in about 2-4 weeks without a problem. My sister never received the... More
