Pretty neat side-stop during our carriage ride through the old town. Great ambiance, very friendly people and very interesting to see how the cigars are made. Looks easy, but requires lots of skill. Many great photo ops and excellent opportunity to learn something new.

While wandering the streets of Granada, we happened upon this business. We were very surprised to meet the tour guide Eric, a young Canadian boy from British Columbia. (those Canucks are everywhere!!) We really enjoyed the tour, and seeing all the different stages of making a cigar. Eric was very knowledgeable about the operation. We saw about 5 groups of... More

Great Party at Casa Mombacho in January! Been there four times now and can't get enough. Great cigars, great atmosphere and an awesome tour. Not sure what the tour guide's actual name is as I heard people calling him Pedro, Eric, Enrique, Badger, Maestro, El Patron, etc. Very informative nonetheless. Highly recommend going for a smoke, rum and have your... More

We stopped in at Mombacho by chance while exploring Granada. To our surprise there is a strong Canadian and Toronto connection to Mombacho, and we were greeted by a number of Canadians from the Toronto office who were in town for the anniversary celebration of the company. The tour of the facility was informative and friendly, and we were invited... More

My boyfriend LOVES good cigars so we headed to Mombacho to check it out. We were shown around the back patio where there are deep chairs and a pool you can swim in. We dipped our feet in the pool while enjoying cocktails and a perfect cigar. We even went back the next day to play some cards and relax... More

All over Granada you can buy different sizes of packaged cigars, but of course knowing how they are made and where they are made is a story you would want to be able to tell to your friends, family or collegues for whom, of course, you will bring some cigars back! Mombacho cigars makes exactly this possible. As a non-smoker... More

Friends of mine are in town and after lunch we strolled down La Calzada in search of cigars for one of them to bring home. I've walked past several times but never went in until today. We were greeted by Eric (a fellow Canadian) who invited us in and offered us a free tour of the building. Eric showed us... More

Since about 2004 I enjoyed the above, two items during my 4.5 years in Bocas del Toro, Panama. Recently I went to Nicaragua where both my favorites originate. I was in Granada, seeking out Artisanal cigar makers, and I stumbled upon Mombacho Cigars. Upon entry into the Humidor Room, I was invited for a tour in the making of their... More

Really enjoyed visiting Mombacho Cigars. We were first taken into the humidor and the guide showed us the different types of cigars and then we were taken to the area where the workers were hand making the cigars. Everyone there was very friendly and kindly answered all of our questions. Very informative tour!
