Many ashrams, yoga centers, restaurants, cafes, shops and most importantly ganga river dot the area. Its a place where staying for 1-2 days is not enough. One should plan a long stay to truly appreciate... More

I visited the place and got inner peace by seeing the work towards humanity and serving people. I consulted Aacharya Mishraji at the Aayurvedic center who was very much helpful and provided satisfaction with his wisdom.

walk around feel the place , feel the atmosphere, observe people, pilgrims, animals at peace; feel rishikesh. No point writing much, one visits rishikesh for tending to ones religious, spiritual side or what ever. it's different from a routine tourist attraction, rather it is not supposed to be an attraction,

Strolling around amongst pelgrims, seeing the ashrams, the ghats and the temples, all not to be missed out when you are in Rishikesh. That is mainly why you are there. You can either walk there via the bridge or take the boat. The boats that take you across stop at sunset.
