Swarg Ashram is located close to popular Ram Jhula bridge in Rishikesh.Check out the pic which I took from outside while on my way to Ram Jhula. Nice ashram - one of the many in Rishikesh.

The Ghat(river bank) in front of this hotel is known as Parmarth Niketan ,where you can participate in 'Ganga Aarti' ..a truly Devine experience .... But don't go by the pictures of the ashram...it's not like as it appears in pictures above..

The photo is of Parmarth niketan. There are many ashrams are situated at the bank of holy river gange. Before many years there was loneliless and peace but now a days the places are over crowded especialy in Shravan Month.

Parmarth Niketan Ashram is definitely worth a visit if for nothing else than the beautiful 5pm ceremony on the banks of the Ganga (Ganges). I had difficulty finding it on TripAdvisor because of the confusing map links, taking me near the Ram Jhula Bridge instead of 250-300 meters south to Parmarth Niketan. From Ram Jhula Bridge, head south and keep... More

Other side of River Ganga (Left Bank). Can be reached here by four wheeler via Chilla Barrage. Or by walking over Ram Jhula or by steamer across (every TEN minutes) the banks. Gita Bhawan , Parmarth Niketan , Vanprastha Ashram many other other ashrams are there.

Loved the trees, shrubs and peace gardens. Liked the fact there was a path close by where you could trek to Neelkanth Temple - wish I had more time to be able to do this. Did not dislike anything in the Ashram - everyone we spoke to was so helpful!
