We stopped in to see the chips in action one Saturday afternoon, it was shaking. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable regarding their product. RT 11 makes the best chips hands down, as I have been eating them for years. The Chip factory is easily from Interstate 81, along with Antique stores and Shenandoah Caverns. Make this stop a part... This is not really a formal tour, but it is enjoyable. Guests get to learn about the chip making process as a worker describes the process while you watch through a large window. This is a SMALL business that runs a SMALL factory that makes a FANTASTIC product. The company writes on their potato chip bags that they make their... More

My husband always wanted to visit the Rt 11 potato chip factory but boy were we disappointed. You stand at large windows while someone(a teenager) who spoke from rote memory explained the process to us and could not answer questions without some help. There was no expression and no desire to hang out with visitors. Left a very bad impression.... More

Thank you for your honest feedback. And, many apologies for the bad experience. We go out of our way to never use the word 'tour' for the very reason you're stating in your review, because it's not a tour. We call it 'fry-viewing'. However, I do apologize for the 'rote teenager'....we'll work on getting them to be more comfortable/natural in... More

It is always interesting to see how things we eat are made. Here you can see chips being made and get to taste them as well. Always a good day for chips!

While visiting the Shenandoah Valley area we came across some Rt 11 chips in a store. We liked them and noticed the factory was a short drive from our place so we made a visit. We enjoyed watching the process (especially the cutting of 100 lbs of potatoes in 40 seconds) and sampling their chips. The staff was very friendly... More

Although they weren't making chips when we visited, we still took advantage of stocking up on large and small bags for our roadtrip. Our kids favorite was the dill pickle. Their chips are excellent and fresh.

Great place to see how potato chips are made and taste the samples. The building is large and inviting.

very straight-forward, clean process, the Owner conducted the tour, super nice and knowledgable-- no gimmicks, but the real work being performed. we sampled, and of course couldnt resist buying the all-natural, virginia-made chips, yum.

These chips are absolutely the best. I camp a lot in the Shenendoah Valley area and everytime I go back there and get more of their chips. They also offer a tour of the plant which is really cool.

A short rid of the main highway lies a small "factory. Walk-in and see the entire process...a very short tour (10-15 mins) covers it all. Free samples and friendly folks. Very good chips!
