This was a planned stop on our travels down I-81. It is conveniently located just a short drive off of the interstate. Just a couple of turns and maybe a few miles & we were there. Place was easy to find and signs were placed along the route to make sure you didn't miss a turn. Once inside, we noticed... More

They have no signs pointing you there. Best part of visit was driving over covered bridge to get there. You should turn around and go elsewhere after that. Potato chips samples that were out we old with just crumbles left. We were there about an hour after opening and the staff kid did nothing. She didn't welcome us. She mumbled... More

Hi Mary, Thanks for your candid review. We appreciate the feedback, even when it's negative. Many apologies for the shortage of signs, the empty baskets, the lack of a welcome, or good explanation of what we do here. We're a small factory and our primary focus is making potato chips. We invite the public in to see how the product... More

enjoyed the tour. tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. chips are very good. tried the pickle flavored chips- they are okay, but like the old bay flavored chips. we had a bag of fresh chips right off the conveyor, they were still warm. nice stop for kids or adults

After wanting to visit here for a few years, we finally were able to stop by. This is a super place. It is a small business that has grown like crazy. While it is a small building, the people that work there are huge in the hospitality department. People on the assembly line wave and smile and the people that... More

If you have Never been to a Potato Chip Factory to see how those chips that we have been eating then you need to go to the RT. 11 Potato Chip Factory. The Factory isn't on RT. 11 but is off of Industrial Rd in Mt. Jackson. They have HUGE Windows to observe the Cooking process,Salting and Bagging Process and... More

Definitely call ahead to make sure that they are cooking the day you want to visit. They were making sweet potato chips the day we were there, and the smell was heavenly. It's fun to see how this small-batch factory works. You can look through windows at the processing operations and try samples of the various Route 11 flavors. We... More

I started going to Route 11 Chips at their original location years ago. Have since followed them to this new, and enlarged factory / store. First, excellent prices compared to what you will pay in many fancy stores away from this area. I have people in my office give me orders to pick up when I stop as its cheaper... More

We were scheduled to spend a week at Massanutten Resort, and were looking for things to do during our stay when I noticed an entry on one of the travel guide sites for the Route 11 Potato Chip Factory. We have enjoyed visiting other factories, and we love good potato chips, so we figured this was worth a visit. There... More

It was fun to watch a very simple operation. My Grandson enjoyed the free samples that came with the tour. It is just a cash register and overpriced chips if they are not cooking, so call ahead.

Visited for the first time today. We had a difficult time finding the place as signage is poor. We took a brief 'tour' and saw the chips being made. And we purchased several flavors in poly bags (the most economical way to buy the chips at their factory store). Before we made our purchase, we tried some samples and were... More
