CrossKeys Vineyards is a beautiful 125 acre estate with 25 acres of vineyards. This small batch, family run winery currently produces around 4,000 cases of 11 different wines per year that are estate grown, produced, and bottled. With the first vines planted in 2001 and our first harvest in 2006, the winery opened its doors in May of 2008. In late 2012, the CrossKeys Bistro, our onsite restaurant, was established. In addition CrossKeys hosts many events, both public and private, and of course lots of weddings.

We visited CrossKeys on May 9 for lunch after our sons graduation from JMU. We were very impressed with the service that we received, especially being such a large party. Elizabeth was wonderful, and answered any questions we had. The property was absolutely beautiful and our younger children really enjoyed being able to go outside and play on the lawn.... More

Sunny day warm breezes patio atmosphere. A place to chat and chew all your worries for the day away. Friendly folks. Great wine. Food tasteful and full of flavor. No need to rush. Slow the day down in the picturesque scenery You won't be disappointed. Make a new memory. Leave your worries by the roadside.

We loved the ambience of Cross Keys Vineyard - the setting, musical entertainment etc. The meal however was a major disappointment. While the green beans and parmesan potatoes were excellent the "3 Star Prime Rib" was terrible. (fatty and tough). Our mistake was in politely telling the server that everything was fine, when in fairness we should have sent the... More

We went to CrossKeys for tasting and then lunch at their bistro. We tasted all those available wines and found several that were excellent. The server was veer knowledgeable and mad the tasting very fun. We got a glass of our favorite and headed in for lunch. The bistro is small but what a view. Many of the choices on... More

Had a groupon and called to make reservations. Could not get through...found out their phones were down. Was suppose to be a groupon for tour and glasses and cheese. Kept questioning who I had called and if a return call was made. Not sure why we continued to get asked when they said their phones were down? So, she could... More

Upon driving up we were impressed with the size of the main building and the rolling hills and vineyards, it's all beautiful! But then we noticed a huge charter bus and were worried they might be busy. Once inside, we were happy to see that the bus didn't seem to impact how busy they were as the people who came... More

stopped by to enjoy a flight of wine and a cheese plate-- both were delicious. Staff friendly and welcoming. The view is absolutely magnificent-- like a vineyard in Tuscany instead of Virginia! Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Nice atmosphere, beautiful grounds and great wine! This was our last stop on a winery tour and the staff were very accommodating of our large party.
