If you want to burn off a couple calories or take some semi-nature photos, this isn't a bad, quick place to do it. It's right alongside the road and has neat features. There's nothing to DO here, just a place to chill for a minute or two.

This is a wonderful local little gem , kind of hidden in the suburbs of Midlothian, It has two sections and the are connected by a pedestrian tunnel that goes under Woolridge Rd. The historical site of the old abandoned coalmines are in the section across street from the walking paths and duck pond on corner of Woolridge and Coalfield.... More

July 2015 the Mid-Lothian Mine Train section of this park is currently being modified to make it more handicapped accessible, but it's still an enjoyable stroll - or faster walk/run if you prefer - and we're looking forward to the finished product. The Mid-Lothian Mines Park is divided into two section that are connected via a short under road tunnel.... More

Historic mine park with walking trails and walking loop around a lake. Sort of strange location (around a lot of subdivisions) and there appears to be some continuing construction, but nice for a walk or short run.

If you are looking for a trail that is a little unique and a fun place to take your dogs for a walk, Look no further. The park has interesting things to see and is around a scenic pond. It is easy to find as it is right off the main road, and the trails are pretty well populated.

This is a nice small local park. There is a parking area on either side of the road that divides the park. On the East side there is a forested area with a trail leading end to end with ruins from the old coal mine. The west side of the park has a walkway around the pond.

Historical and green, pleasant and serene! Ideal for a walk or a jog. Especially good to bring kids along as there are geese and ducks in the lake for them to feed, interact with.

This park is worth the visit. It is one of the newer Midlothian, Chesterfield local parks. Nice walk around the lake plus they have a trail to the old coal mines of Midlothian. It's a local, walk your dog kind of park so if you are in the area, it's worth the visit. Lots or ducks and geese as usually... More

It is well maintained and family friendly. I am not a local, but the area seemed safe. The side with the lake has a walking trail around it and many bridges to take pictures of. The other side has remnants of mines has multiple trails and bike paths. Do be careful with your kids though. Some of the trails become... More
