This is an amazing museum for such a small city. Lots of exhibits about fossils, geology and ancient inhabitants of Virginia. Interactive exhibits are fun for all ages.

We have had a family membership for the past three years. We love to take our 2 & 8 year olds here. They change some of the exhibits every few months and always make part of the new exhibits hands-on. They also have an indoor playground room which we love to take the lids to for a good break.
If you want to visit a museum that is Smithsonian quality without the hassle of going to Washington D.C. This is an incredible place to visit. It has a lot of great displays and makes a geat field trip for schools. Plus they have good group rates.
This museum is growing every time we see it. There is always something new to see. Very nice facilty.
This is a very intersting place - we took our grandson and he throughly enjoyed it and we did. always something new and interesting.
A high-quality museum experience for half the price you'd pay in larger cities. This is a great place to spend time with friends and family of all ages.

I had fun playing while learning. A museum shouldn't be static displays. I can learn online that way. We have family near...
