The owner is delightful and welcoming. The wines are made from 100% local grapes and you can taste the TLC.

The owner, Howard is always very personable. He has a great selection of wines to taste. He has a great view. This is our third time here over the years. We really enjoy his apple wine. Will be back to do a wine dinner.

We stopped at Chateau O'Brien on a whim while on a drive to pick apples. This is a very nice winery and the staff was very welcoming and knowledgeable. The wines and the view are beautiful! We thoroughly enjoyed the tasting and ordered a bottle to have with the croissants from the food menu. Everything was delicious, and although it... More

We were actually on our way somewhere else, saw the sign and had to stop. The winery was beautiful, great view, good wine (not all to my taste), friendly staff. Dee was our pourer and she was fun. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We had not been here since last fall. I made a reservation to have a special reserve tasting in the Cellar with Howard( the owner ) It was very good, and all the wines were new ones. Howard always has different samples of cheeses and other foods and bread to compliment the wines. Nice touch! We did buy a bottle... More

I have been to many wineries in NoVA and Chateau O'Brien is by far the best. Their reds are some of the best we've ever had...even better than some from California. The owner and winemaker definitely care about what they are doing and are after quality, not quantity. We had been once before but on this most recent trip, the... More

Great views from up on a hill, nice place to have a picnic, and very nice tasting room. They offer tastings for reds and whites separately, at opposite ends of the building, and you have to pay for them separately. Their prices overall are a bit steep.

Toni the bartender was very nice, he knew his wines and is a great guy. He is not very generous with his pours, and that is an understatement, but I can live with that. The tasting facility is great, very nicely decorated, with a nice view over that nice part of Virginia. Really a beautiful place. We like white wines... More
