We had driven by the vineyard on multiple occasions and decided to stop in. It wasn't very busy so we got very attentive service and we enjoyed our flight. The descriptions were accurate and it is impressive that they offer flights that include other vineyards' wines. I didn't view that as anything other than a cooperative approach to promoting Central... More

Took my wife for wine and snacks. JACKPOT!! We tried the Charcuterie plate, the Local Cheese sampler and the Soft Pretzel. They were all outstanding! Our server, Amber, was courteous and KNOWLEDGEABLE. She knew what is was; where it came from; what it pairs with... Very nice! If you haven't been, GO! If you have gone before, go AGAIN!

We were in the area and chose to go to this winery rather than several others as we wanted lunch as well as wine. Somewhat disappointed. The paninis we ordered were rather bland. My wife had the roast beef with horseradish mayo, and when ordering asked if she could get some extra sauce on the side. She was informed that... More

You can buy wine by the glass or the bottle, get a nice lunch, or bring your own sandwich for a picnic, and just relax with long views and serene surroundings. Wine is a bit pricey, but you'll get to try things you probably wouldn't otherwise encounter.

Early Mountain does not have as many wines as some of the other area wineries. But it has a beautiful tasting room. . . There is a large menu and plenty of seating. It's also a great venue for weddings.

Pretty winery both inside and outside. Our tasting server was so kind, best part. Tastings are super expensive and not worth it. After tasting we sat down at a table to order food and eat chips and salsa we had brought. We also ordered several glasses of wine. The servers were very unpleasant and one never even spoke or responded... More

I happened to be driving through the area, and decided to stop in. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The tastings are done by prearranged flights, compared to most in the area, where you choose from a list. As none of the flights were exactly what I was looking for, and the $14 starting price for 4 tastings of... More

We enjoyed a lovely wine tasting here with a delicious assortment of fine meats and cheeses, as well as live music! We also bought wine, wine jelly, and wild-crafted local hickory syrup in their shop!

First, i am biased to French Red Wines. I mostly drink Bordeaux. I am a Cab lover and biased. I don't usually drink Virginia wines, but on a recent visit to Early Mountain Vineyards, I was impressed. I liked their wines - especially their Eluvium 2012 which is 50% Merlot, 32% Cab Sauv and 18% Cab Franc. I purchased some... More

I really enjoyed my trip to Early Mountain! The food was great, the wine was lovely, and the scenery is priceless. Do not miss!
