Lovely winery

This looks like I could be a lot of fun. They have live music at times, not while we were there. The Norton was pretty good. The pourer was friendly and fun.

We visited DuCard for their wine and chocolate event and were also pleasantly surprised that they had live music as well. Our chocolate pairing ended up just being my wife and I and we had a great time getting to know Scott the Proprietor and Anh Thu the Chocolatier of Joy Bliss Raw. The Wines of DuCard are some of... This winery is near old rag and the Shenandoah mountains, we decided to visit after a weekend in Little Washington, VA which is not far from this. The grounds are very pretty. The tasting room is okay, didn't think it was one of the prettiest in va but we were suprised with the quality of the wine. We purchased 2... More

A beautiful setting and fantastic wines. Favorite is petit verdot, viognoir and C'est trop! Recently, we served petit verdot to friends who never said anything nice about Virginia wines and were very, very impressed.

Myself and 3 of my girlfriends were taken to this winery while on a 5 hour winery tour. We liked the winery and all together we bought about 5 bottles of wine. Our wine pourer was very friendly. I don't remember her name, but she's a retired educator. We will probably venture back here one day.

A group of us visited in March. It was a great atmosphere & we live bed the babbling creek in the background. We enjoyed our tasting & ended up buying several bottles.

The wine tasting was ok, not a lot of selection that we prefer. We had purchased a groupon/living social deal which included free wine glasses and a cheese platter. The cheese platter was one package of gouda...we could not eat. We enjoyed the free music.

The cheese is a locally made farm-fresh product, but it has to be packaged for food safety. All of the food products we carry are from nearby producers, and it was served with a warm baguette from our local bakery, making what we thought was a nice combination. Sorry that it didn't match your taste.. Many other wineries do indeed... More

We were the first visitors on a freezing cold Friday morning, and we had the place to ourselves, which gave us a great opportunity to enjoy ourselves. The drive to get there is long, but well worth it as the scenery is gorgeous. Since we were the only customers, we learned a lot about the wine, the history of the... More

I say "WOW" because we tried DuCard about a year and a half ago and it didn't really impress us, but we didn't dislike it. So, we decided to go back yesterday, this time with friends of ours who have done vineyard visits in many states. Needless to say, we were all very impressed! They do have a great assortment... Tucked behind Old Rag, DuCard is a great find. The wine was excellent, the gentleman serving us the wine was knowledgeable and open to questions. Good bread and cheese for a snack, live music and adirondacks to sit in outside as well as a very bright tasting room inside - perfect!
