Far and away the best children's museum we have been to. Lots of hands on activities for kids here. We had our ten month old grandson and our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter with us and there was plenty to do for both of them. There are 2 toddler/baby areas, a farm and a shipwreck room which was their favorite!... More

Kids had a great time! There were many different activities and they loved all the painting! Price was good, it was really hot outside so we needed a great inside activity and this was it!

There is lots of room for active children to scurry around and plenty of tubes and such on multiple floors, like an indoor playground. But there are many educational activities to view or participate in from locks on a canal to "caves" and lights. There is an elevator. A room may be rented for birthday parties that has a free... We have been twice... and will be back again (2 hour's away.) We have been to several Children's Museums and this is hands down the best. They have basically a 5 story jungle gym in the middle of the museum that you can use to go from floor to floor. The exhibits are fun and my kids don't even know... More

Wonderful place for children to learn about science, art and a never ending supply of cool exhibits. Hands on for the kids and they absolutely love it! Must do with the kids for every parent in Lynchburg.

We have visited multiple times and our kids are engaged and have fun with all of the activities and exhibits. Our kids ask to go to "the museum" and spend hours climbing and interacting with the many things that are at their fingertips. A must see and experience for kids.

This is a very nice multi-level hands on learning activity place. Kids do like it the first few times they go, but nothing has changed in years and kids have gotten board of it. They have activities for the young children as well. Only complaint I have is once a child gets in those tubes in the middle it is... More

We were from out of the area and I had found out about this place on the internet. We stopped here on a Saturday afternoon after visiting Appamatox in the morning. My daughter had a great time. Loved the painting on the walls area and slides and exhibits, especially the James River and Native American areas. Has free parking. While... More

I visited this with my 5 and 8 year old, based on the reviews that said it was good for older kids and now can wholeheartedly agree. You have to be careful with "children's museums" that they are not just a toddler/preschooler play area. This entertained both of my kids and had places for younger kids that was separate from... Bring your kids or the grandchildren to the neatest place in Lynchburg for kids to play, learn and enjoy creative, hand-on activities. When we brought our 3 and a half year old grand daughter here, she was "amazed" by the activities she could participate in. The water replica of the James River, the play kitchen, the roller slides, the climbing... More
