First, the wine is excellent. And then the bottom drops out. The tasting staff member was what my friends call "Birkenstock snooty aka Barista trumps Nurse/Lawyer/Physicist type" (yup, this had been mentioned before in reviews but unfortunately I didn't check Trip Advisor before we drove to Linden). The winery is an ideal spot for a picnic on the grounds or... More

This is one of the best wineries in Virginia! It's a little out of the way and I recommend you get directions off the website (or use your GPS) as it's not listed on the VA state wine map. We did both tastings, the basic at $7 and the Cellar for $25. Enjoyed every wine we tasted. They did not... More

Today was my first visit to Linden. They make the highest quality Virginia wines I have tasted to date. I left with a case of wine this afternoon and opened a 2012 Claret with dinner tonight. Impressive and enjoyable. The tasting experience was top-notch as well. Pleasant tasting room with beautiful views.

The owner of Linden, Jim Law, is the name most people will use when talking about those who have been most influential in raising the level of Virginia wine making. It seems that many of the successful winery owners learned much of their craft by working with him. His own operation is very fine. I have been there several times... More

Read the positive and negative reviews on Linden, decided to visit and make my own evaluation. Beautiful facility with great views. Shari (Director) did my tasting. Very personable and knowledgeable. Tasting done at my pace - no rush. I asked to taste a wine that was not included in the standard tasting and they obliged. All of the wines tasted... More

It is a hike to get there....but well worth the journey. Inn at Little Washington served a superb wine paired with fois gras...Late harvest Mansing that my husband had to buy and bring home.....it was that good! No food offered....just crackers for the tasting....unless you are buying a case!

The joy of a visit to Linden Vineyards begins shortly after walking in the door. The staff always offers a warm greeting and you're likely to cross paths with other patrons who are completing tastings and purchases. Their selection is as delicious as the views from their deck are beautiful! If you really want to enjoy a unique experience stay... More

Wow. Wow. Wow. This is the best vineyard to visit in Virginia bar none. We spend a lovely relaxing Saturday at Linden and enjoyed a vineyard tour led by the owner. We then enjoyed a wonderful tasting, followed by enjoying a bottle of wine on a beautiful deck. Top notch. A must visit!

One of the most remarkable wineries in Northern Virginia. Secluded, romantic and visually stunning. The tasting room is both grand and intimate. The first winery my husband and I have visited where each wine scored well-above expectations. This vineyard is all about the wine, no tacky, kitschy gift shop or faux European ambience. At Linden, it's all about the wine... More

This is one of our very favorites places for several reasons. First, it's only about an hour from DC (although 66, as always, can be a headache). Second, very friendly and personable staff. Third, no as "touristy" as so many of the others - no limos, no huge parties of people, etc. Fourth, if you a member of their case... More
