Ignore what Google says. This museum is NOT closed. The amazing woman who runs it is a treasure in herself. The way she describes each item on display with such detail is incredible. This is a military memorabilia collection that is not to be missed with items from the UK, USA, Russia, Germany, France, Italy, ect. There's even NASA memorabilia.... More

While looking for something to do while we were traveling in the area, we found the Museum of Military Memorabilia listed on TripAdvisor. Upon arrival, we saw a sign in the door that another tour was in progress. We waited for approximately 20 minutes before meeting with Patricia Mountain, the owner of the museum. Patricia's husband had saved a variety... More

This is a small museum but jam-packed with interesting stories of the service of VMI cadets. For Civil War buffs, this is heaven, with much Stonewall Jackson memorabilia, including his taxidermied horse.

My wife and I stopped by this museum during our recent anniversary trip to Lexington. Patricia gave us the tour as an anniversary gift. Her husband spent much of his life collecting the items on display and they opened it together. She offered a wealth of information about the items and much insight into her and her husband's family history.... More

Totally amazed by the collection. It is a great look inside a man's life. So glad that his wife has carried on the collection to share with us and also share his memory. I will always remember this museum.

Upon visiting Lexington my husband wanted to stop and visit the Museum of Military Memorabilia. I am so happy that he wanted to stop here. This private collection is amazing and you can tell the owner loved her husband. She has kept the Museum open and shares her amazing knownledge with everyone that she can. The $3.00 is well worth... Whatever the country, whatever the branch of service, whatever the battle the owner is a wealth of knowledge! You can give her your timetable and she fits the tour according to your wishes. We had a personal tour which many will receive when not busy! For only $3 per person it is the best value for your buck! Amazing collection... More

My boyfriend and I made a day trip to Lexington to shop and explore. We stumbled upon this museum and almost decided not to go but were at last convinced by our gracious hostess when she told us that if we had the time to take the tour that she would waive the entrance fee. Upon entrance, we were regaled... More

Tucked out of the way on South Main Street is this truly outstanding collection of military memorabilia. The collection mainly comprises uniforms and helmets/caps and other regalia and covers many countries (including rare ones such as Korea) and goes back a number of years. All tours are guided by Pat who dislays a great knowledge of the items on display.... More
