I was passing through Lexington, VA and stopped in this shop when I saw it on my way to lunch. I picked up a few chocolates for my family. Everyone enjoyed the delicious dark chocolate with peanuts and the dark chocolate truffles. Wish I had brought back more.

Walked into the Staunton shop not expecting much, but was overwhelmed with the quality of chocolate (turtles and caramels). I've had homemade French, Belgian and Swiss chocolate and this was better than some of the others. Went back in the afternoon to try the graham crackers and the dark bark, and they were THE BEST EVER! Then drove down to... More

I read many reviews about this company and was pleased with what I read, so I placed an order totalling a couple of hundred dollars for my family, who will not be able to be together this Easter holiday. They received the baskets, but much to my embarassment, these were in fact not the baskets I thought I was purchasing.... More

My mother and I were delighted to find this little shop on a recent visit to downtown historic Lexington. I've had chocolate from all over the country, and this is one of my favorites. Sadly, they were out of milk chocolate peanut butter cups that day, but the s'mores bark, peanut clusters, and sea salt caramels were excellent. The store... More

Holy moly, if you are in town and do not stop here, then you do not LOVE good chocolate! I am a local and I have to keep myself far away from here or I will be as big as a house!!! I drool when I simply see the truffles!!! MMMMMM!

All chocolates were offered along with a white. I found some of the bittersweet to be a little grainy....but good.

I personally think they are missing the mark - Wall Street review or not. The candy is tasty but could use more flavor complexity and less sugar. It would be nice if the contents labeling included grams of sugar per ounce.

1st time visitor. If I had unlimited income I'd go back. Walked in and there was a young girl that looked stunned we were there. I started to think that the store was not open to the public or I was doing something wrong. I saw the prices and was stunned. All the items I saw were 1.50 each (for... More

I walked into the Cocoa Mill store in Staunton, VA completely on a whim today, and what an absolutely wonderful whim it was! I left with two 1/2 pound bags of dark chocolate non pareils and a very happy belly after having enjoyed a delicious sample! I consider myself a reasonably impressive chocolate connoisseur, and I think the Cocoa Mill... More
