Owner description: He Vineyards & Winery at Lost Creek is a 50-acre boutique winery nestled in the rolling hills of Northern Virginia 10 minutes outside of historic Leesburg, Virginia. Tucked away between Route 15 and the Potomac River, Lost Creek Winery is a scenic destination that offers high-quality Virginia wines in a casual elegant atmosphere. Lost Creek's owners, Todd and Aimee Henkle, and consulting winemaker, Sebastien Marquet, are striving to show how great Virginia wines can be. A visit to our winery begins with a drive through our lower vineyard, past rows of thriving Chardonnay, Vidal Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot vines. The winery building consists of our 1,500 square foot tasting room, a private adult-only club member lounge, a tasting pavilion (open in warm weather and for special events), a lawn to enjoy picnicking, and a wisteria-covered arbor encircling our front patio fountain. Inside our tasting room features a cozy fireplace and several tasting bars. Our knowledgeable wine educators will guide you in tasting Lost Creek's featured wines or they can suggest a bottle or glass if you prefer to relax at a fireside table or under the shade on our patio. We offer live music every weekend as well as several fun and educational food and wine events throughout the year.

If not from the area a little off the path. The layout is very nice and the wines are their own flavor. I really enjoyed the tasting. The staff was very friendly I went right when they opened but could see the place being packed. The ones are a great medium body. Didn't try the good.

The server was personable and wines decent. Purchased a Chardonnay and a red blend. This is a good addition to a day of wine touring.

After visiting dozens of Virginia wineries this summer we are very impressed with Lost Creek. The reds are simply amazing. The new owners are very polite and know a thing or two about hosting guest. They have a wonderful staff who are very personable and trained. Lost Creek is one of the best we have discovered on our Virginia winery... More

This is the perfect place to spend an autumn afternoon. Offering samples of both red and white wines, there is seating outdoors as well as inside. Calendar of special events can be found on their website.

We stopped in and were very happy we did. The wines are nice and atmosphere is tranquil. Made for a great stop along the wine trail. The gal staffing the bar for tastings when we were there was awesome. Very personable, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to!!

We decided to check out this location as a possible wedding venue. We were skeptical at first because of reviews we read about horrible tasting wines. This was the first stop so my palate would be freshest. What a pleasant surprise! The wines were good not bad. I think this place has been under new management for over a year.... More

I visited Lost Creek and Hidden Brook (within a short walking distance) seven years ago and liked the atmosphere, but didn't care for the wine; however, now under new management, the wine is much improved. Chardonnay is my least favorite wine, but Lost Creek's Chardonnay is one I love! Light, crisp, smooth and steel barrel aged, which makes it gluten... More

I remember going to this winery several years ago and disliked it. At the time, both this winery and the winery next door (Hiddenbrook) had super sweet wines--it reminded me of the wines you would find in the fingerlakes. Needless to say I didn't go back until a friend who's wine opinion I trust said they took on a new... More

We thoroughly enjoyed the 90 minutes we spent on a Monday morning. Adam (tasting manager) was fantastic! Personable and outgoing, he gave us great information about each wine. Mentioned the specials they were having on the wines, as well as the "Black Friday" wine event they were having. Perfect for us as we were visiting relatives and many of them... More
