The views from this house are great. It is basically three museums in one. You have the house, a horseman's museum and carriage museum. All are very nice. The property could use a little upkeep and would be nice if the tour guides wore period attire, but the place is worth visiting.

Morvan Park is theformer home of Virginia Govenor Westmoreland. The mansion itself is both beautiful and historic. Worth seeing on its own. But the property itself is breathtaking! Owned and managed by a private foundation, the Park is the venue for equestrian events, soccertournements, antiques shows, etc. The Best Buddies Race sponsored by Audi ends here every year. Not to... We went as a family to visit the estate and were very happy that they refused to take our entrance fee as we were part of the military, andt gave us a tour guide to fill in all the gaps. The house was Governor Westmorelands summer home, it almost shares the same story as many of the great estates in Europe... More

So I went to Morven Park this past Friday to check out the venue and the 1000 acre estate. Very beautiful property with a variety of offerings. You can have your wedding there, receptions, cocktail parties and more. They host a plethora of events from horseback riding events to soccer tournaments. Beautiful place and the museum and carriage house are... More

Take time to explore the beautiful grounds of Morven before or after touring the Mansion and Carriage Museum. A walk down the sloping front lawn of the estate opens up a magnificent vista to the east. Gardens on either side bring color and variety to the experience. The trees provide canopy for the walkways and roads throughout the Park. This... More

Morven Park is beautiful and from the front steps you can see 20 miles even on a hazy summer day. The Museum of Fox Hunting is fascinating as is the collection of magnificent carriages just a short walk from the mansion. Morven Park house is impressive, staged just as it was at the turn of the last century with elegant... More

Thanks to the Westmoreland Davis preservation Society we can see a piece of the past. The mansion and grounds are beautifully preserved. They and caring docents take visitors back to an era, early 1900's when Westmoreland and Marguerite Davis lived on the estate, and influenced animal farming in the South. The Society did a wonderful job preserving the mansion, furniture,... More

For an NYC local, this is about as close as you can come to Central Park in Leesburg. Morven Park is pretty in a simple calming way. It's a great place to go to relax. Oddly enough when I am in Leesburg I spend a large portion of my time strolling here with friends. It is a great place to... More

The park is beautiful. There are several acres of nice open fields, trees, and a nice little garden area that was created by the governor's wife when they lived there. Great place for a picnic. I hear they do weddings there, I think that would be beautiful.
