Spent an afternoon touring the house, and grounds of Governor Davis' home. Our guide was very informative and answered all our questions. The home is full of original furnishings. If you enjoy touring historical homes you won't be disappointed. The grounds are beautiful as well. Many short hikes available along with the gardens.

Beautiful home, fantastic scenery, and wonderful rolling virginia hills. The docents were absolutely terrific and were extremely patient with our questions. Absolutely recommend this location for a visit. For older folks like myself, the upstairs steps can be tricky so make sure your knees are in good shape.

This is a valuable tour and has something for everyone. So much to take in! The grounds are picturesque and stunning. The mansion and it's owners particularly, The Davis' contribution to the area, society, and farming is vast and well told on the tour through the mansion. A true value for the adult five dollar admission! The property holds hunt,... More

Morven Park is a beautiful 1,000 acre site in Leesburg, Virginia, the seat of historic Loudon County. This attraction has been growing and evolving since circa 1790, when one Wilson Cary Selden built a fieldstone house atop a gently rising hill, which house was subsequently incorporated in the north wing of the present mansion. The estate passed through a series... More

We really enjoyed our visit. Our guide Caitlin was very knowledgeable. We felt immersed in the history of the time plus enjoyed seeing how the wealthy governor and his wife lived. We also toured the carriage museum which is mostly self guided. It was fun to see the variety of vehicles and their different uses.

This estate was purchased by a husbandfrom the south and a wife from New York. After this lawyer became a deeply committed planter, he bought a magazine and continued agricultural education. I never heard of him, though he later became something like a Tea Party governor of Virginia. The grounds are the big feature of this place but the house... More

We went December 31 and the museum and tours were closed. It was our last day in VA before we headed back home, so we decided to adventure on our own. There's a beautiful trail to walk, it is clean, quiet, all you see is nature, little river creeks, horses and other animals. I would think spring or fall may... More

We had the pleasure of taking a tour of Morven Park today with Jackie, although two of us had been twice, we both learned new interesting information regarding Morven Park. Morven Park is not one of those locations you just want to visit once, it looks a little different each time you go. The holiday decorations and furnishings bring you... More

We had a house tour for two with Ashley, a very knowledgeable and pleasant docent. She answered our many questions with high enthusiasm for Morven Park and its history, inhabitants, and the culture of the Leesburg area. Next visit we will plan on spending time in the park and gardens and enjoying the carriage house. Highly recommend this tour.

i liked our young historic interpeter. She was knoweldge and friendly. Ashley was her name. If you love touring old homes this is the way to go. The only thing they could improve was their gardens. Best mansion the whole trip. Happy touring.
