Had an appointment for a tour for our upcoming wedding at this beautiful setting. But Castle Hill's wedding contact Ms Keys kept us waiting for 30 mins and had to be called as a reminder and upon arriving did even apologize. We tasted cider while waiting and the tasting room staff stated she is always late. Very nice. She proceeded... More

Customer service was completely lacking - employees did not seem to have even basic manners. I was expecting alot more from the cider - world's best? Not even average. Tasting fee was high ($8) to sample mediocre cider.

I had a pleasant visit, with a friendly server and enjoyed great cider. They were serving 5 ciders, 4 sparkling and 1 still. They also had bread (from the wonderful Albemarle Baking Company) and cheese for purchase. This was not my first visit nor will it be my last.

Came here with my wife a couple of days ago and had a great time. We had the whole place to ourselves - what a treat! We did a tasting - $6 - a bargain. Tried a few sips of all 5 types of cider made there, with a brief explanation of how and of what each is made. Also... More

As a brand new customer, I was excited to try Castle HIll for the first time during their annual Cider Fest. The day of, my husband and I were feeling sick, therefore I called the facility to see if there were any other alternatives for that day. I explained to the employee that while we were both sick, we didn't... More

I wasn't a big fan of the cidar, I would like it a little sweeter. The facility would be an outstanding location for a wedding or any other large gathering. The employee was very kowledable.

We stopped here as something different during a trip misty focused on wine tasting, and we were so glad we did! So fun to taste and compare different hard ciders and hear about their process. The location is GORGEOUS- I know they do weddings and I can't imagine a more perfect location. Definitely something fun to check out!

Hard cider is coming into its own in central Virginia and you can find some of the best examples available at Castle Hill. Go enjoy the different varieties, including one that is "still," not fizzy. They are delicious and the grounds a delightful place to enjoy tasting them.

Before visiting Castle Hill, I had only had Woodchuck cider out of a bottle. I'm gluten intolerant, so cider is a great alternative for me to beer. Was I in for a very plesant surprise!! When we arrived, there was only two other people there. We ordered some cheese (and a baguette, which my husband ate). The ciders were really,... More
