Lovely vineyard, pleasant greeting by the, forgive me ?6th Daughter. I neglected to get her name. She spent a reasonable amount of time explaining the background of the vineyard, the wine making process and sharing her knowledge of the wines we were tasting. Great place.

Rappahannock Cellars a casual winery with knowledgeable staff. The location is a place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. I recommend the members club if you live in the area.

Over the past few years, I have read many great reviews of Rappahannock Cellars and many of the visitors I have spoken with at other Virginia wineries spoke highly of it and its wines. So, I was quite interested in visiting Rappahannock Cellars and tasting its wines. Unfortunately, neither the visit nor the wines were very impressive. Although the tasting... More

We visited four Washington area wineries this weekend. Two were very good, one was average and Rappahannock Cellars was terrible. Poor service even though not busy. Disinterested employees. No discussion of the wines or the winery. Wine just poured periodically by different employees as they happened to walk by. Wine was not good even though we generally enjoy a broad... More

This was our first time tasting wine from Rappahannock Cellars and we were impressed. Delicious! We purchased several bottles and will be looking for it at a wine shop near our home. The tasting room is very comfortable, and the facility is available for rentals. Wonderful visit and we will return if we're in the region again.

We drove up from Luray to Rappahannock Cellars. What a wonderful place. The tasting was handled by Annie, who knows her wines. Purchased a bottle of their Cabernet Franc that impressed wine-tasting friends when we returned home. Very much enjoyed it and recommend the place and the wine.

We were in town staying the weekend at a B&B, the Chef recommended we stop in here. Well we were not disappointed. It is a family owned and run business, and it shows because the staff create a very laid back at home feeling. Not to mention the dogs that greeted us, I have seen that at a couple other... More

From the gorgeous rolling vineyards, to the rustic barn, to the high end member accommodations and friendly staff. You are almost guaranteed to completely pinch yourself to see if you are actually IN Virginia. This winery offers some of the best wine made in the Commonwealth and East Coast for that matter, with a wide array of Chardonnay, Viognier, Cabernet... More
