Weekend getaway

Spent a very relaxing enjoyable long weekend here... Sans kids. Service is amazing wherever you go and everything is well maintained considering how old the place is. I like that... read more

This hotel is in serious need of a major influx of money to bring it back to it's former glory. The common areas are great from a distance but you don't have to look too hard to see many items of postponed maintenance. Stained and worn carpets, dated and dirty furniture, and badly needed painting everywhere. Our room, in the... More

The Homestead can simply be described in two words -- pure elegance. Everything about the resort is absolutely perfect, from the manner in which you are greeted when you first arrive, to the rooms, to the absolutely outstanding staff, to the fabulous spa. This was our second visit (first visit was August 2014) and will become an annual trip. The... More

All of the staff was friendly and informative and made us feel at home, from the front desk, to waitresses at restaurants, to men who greet you when you arrive. The room was beautiful, and overlooked the front of the resort with beautiful landscaping. The grounds were gorgeous and we took several walks, we also used this as a base... More

Spent a very relaxing enjoyable long weekend here... Sans kids. Service is amazing wherever you go and everything is well maintained considering how old the place is. I like that the spa area is separate from kids pool so couples can get away from noise and chaos Only downside is that they charge for nearly all extras - except corn... More

We hadn't been to the Homestead in 12 years since our first child was very small. We had previously stayed during the New Years celebration and at Easter, and it was wonderful. This time it was a little different story. We stayed on a summer "deal" - 8/27 - 8/30 as a final getaway before our kids (14 & 9)... More

This is a old and very beautiful resort. It is not cheap by any standards.. You really need some money in your pockets to stay here but it is worth it. The dining room is very formal.. The resort itself is huge and located in the mountains in a little town of Hot Springs... One of my favorites was tea... More

The Homestead is so steeped in history. A magnificant property with a storiied past. Now an Omni property, improvements to the physical plant are underway. The staff is very attentive and there is so much to do. We were surprised at the number of families with very small children - all well behaved I might add. If you do visit,... More

Our family loves the Homestead! We go often in the summer, fall, and winter. Summer time allows us to enjoy the pool, slides, and outdoor hiking. In the fall we go for the leaf color change and golf. Winter time brings out the best in holiday decorations at The Homestead. So beautiful!!!!!!! It's a tradition for our family to take... More

This is a lovely location and very historic site for sure but it takes a GPS degree to find because it is not easy to get to. If you like seclusion and just relaxing then this is your spot. Much to do but all at a high cost and bringing children will increase that as most everything is meant for... More

We just returned from a Family vacation with our two young adult children. While the Hotel is lovely, and the grounds meticulously maintained, I strongly recommend NOT doing the inclusive meal plan. Breakfast buffet is fine but we did not experience anything close to a fine dining experience for any of our three dinners. The food off the menu was... More
