It was fun to dress up for dinner (for a change). The ambience was pleasing and the food was fabulous. The staff makes you feel like royalty. All the food was fresh (not frozen) and delicious.

Our family was thrilled at the opportunity to spend time in a place full of history and stories. Beautiful grounds and great service.

We were thrilled about our trip to The Homestead. We had never before been so extravagant in a resort stay such as this. Arrival was first class, doorman (Eric) charming, reception (Morgan) perfect. The room was a great size with a nice bathroom, (Cindy did a great job of looking after our room), an OK view of the hillside, (no,... More

We slipped away to The Homestead for a quick weekend to celebrate 5 years of marriage in March and WOW what a weekend. From the moment we pulled up till the car door closed on the way out we felt welcome, comfortable and very spoiled. Hospitality like at The Homestead was something I thought long gone, a thing of myth,... More

After the Homestead became OMNI it lost its local touch, a non-branded appeal. The staff's options to cater to clients became limited.

We recommend The Homestead, although we still prefer the the Greenbriar resort down the road in WV, which is larger and more luxurious. We would return to The Homestead again, however. PROs: Loved The Homestead and its mountain setting. The property and grounds are gorgeous and largely well maintained or in some cases, being restored as needed. We loved the... More

What a great staff! Everyone is so friendly and nice! You're always greeted and everyone is willing to help. I had no idea what to expect. It was very relaxing. There are rocking chairs out front and spa type music playing. We used the indoor pool. It's one of the oldest indoor pools in the country. We also used the... More

The skeet shooting was amazing. Our instructor was wonderfully helpful & patient with us. Kayaking was boring! You paddle around a lake with nothing to see. It's hot & overpriced.

We spent three days here and were very impressed with the number of fine resort options. The pools and water park facility were especially nice for kids and usage is included in the general resort fee. We looked forward to the afternoon tea and cookies each day, a nice treat that harkened back to the early 20th century. Take the... More

We went to the Omni Homestead Resort for a wedding. It was just wonderful, you feel like you went back in time. There are numerous activities on the property from a fishing hole with bamboo poles to pool with lazy river and waterslide to lawn games to golf, tennis and spa. The staff were exceptional. The Homestead dates back to... More
