We selected the Homestead for a family get-away confident that there would be plenty of activities for everyone which proved correct. We were fortunate to arrive 3 January to enjoy the gorgeous Christmas decorations. Although the hotel is celebrating the 250th anniversary this year the hotel is nicely maintained and the staff very solicitous Tea and cake in the grand... More

The Homestead is truly one of those properties that's worth a look-see, even if you cannot afford to stay there or simply cannot find the time. Now in it's 250th year, it's a beautiful location nestled in the mountains featuring relaxation, hiking trails, golf, dining, and more. There's a small guest parking lot to the right as you enter the... More

The Homestead is a special place, and on our first visit for a big birthday we had a lovely time. My favorites were the mineral spring fed indoor pool (in fine condition and over a century old, pleasant for relaxation and warm for heavy lap swimming), the rustic colonial era Jefferson Pool in Warm Spring a few minutes north, and... My Wife and I have been going to the Homestead for many years, sometimes 4 times a year. It started as our get away to hide form everyone. Privacy at the Homestead is a given not something you need request. We started our stays before the huge renovations in 2013ish and we stay after the Renovations. This review will cover... More

My family returns to The Homestead every summer when the kids get out of school. There is no reason to leave the resort as everything you could possibly want is on site! Lazy river is our favorite. Shooting range, horseback riding, off road biking, s'mores - in the most stunningly beautiful historic hotel. Traditional High Tea in the lobby every... More

Wife and I enjoyed a weekend trip to the Omni Homestead. Had been 3+ years - before Omni purchased - and several updates since our last trip. Fewer places to eat without reservation, but still good food and wonderful relaxation. Beautiful place to spend quality time with family and friends.

My buddy and I drove up from Wiliamsburg, VA to play the Old Course. For those that don't know this is the course closest to the resort with sweeping views of The Homestead. When I called to reserve my tee time, I was quoted one price all inclusive, yet upon arrival the price was approximately $40 higher with no explanation.... More

My husband and I went for a quick weekend getaway. The resort is amazing! We are regulars at the Omni Bedford Springs and this is like it on steroids! The resort is very large and has a ton of activities. We will be returning with our young son next summer as they have a lazy river, water slides, outdoor playground,... More

I am only disappointed that I wasn't able to spend more time to enjoy all the amenities at this wonderful property. I was able to golf and enjoy the dining facilities both were top notch. My room was lovely and spacious, very clean and comfortable.

This hotel is in serious need of a major influx of money to bring it back to it's former glory. The common areas are great from a distance but you don't have to look too hard to see many items of postponed maintenance. Stained and worn carpets, dated and dirty furniture, and badly needed painting everywhere. Our room, in the... More
