I've visited this winery a few times in recent months and have always enjoyed it. The servers know the wines and the history of the property, which was interesting. They worked hard to help my daughter find a wine that she had tried before, but didn't remember which one it was. On the weekend we had our tasting outside and... More

I Love this Winery! Gets busy, go early. Lots of outdoor potential, if you want tree shade and or tables, go early. If blanket in sun is ok, plenty of space. On busy times, they have tastings outside the house in the back by the operations space (storage and bottling). If cold winter, there are parlor rooms upstairs in the... More

This is probably our most favorite winery. It's nearby, people are friendly, there seems to be live music every time we go, and the wine is pretty good. We enjoyed the setting and wine so much, we decided to join the wine club.

This is by far my favorite winery in Virginia and I have been to a ton of them. I love it so much that my fiance and I just became club members. The winery itself is gorgeous. The historic mansion has a stone basement with little antique lamps where you can cozy up in one of the lounge chairs or... More

I visited La Grange with a group of four for the first time this weekend and I was disappointed in the service. They were having a club event and non-club members were treated like second-class citizens. There was no signage about where non-club members were allowed and not allowed and it made for a confusing visit. When we finally made... More

I have always enjoyed La Grange. My most recent trip was the most disappointing. The winery is so focused on their wine club that they leave little choice for those who are not members. The limited selections include those on the tasting list and what's available for purchase. We're talking only 2 whites, 2 (maybe 3) reds and sangria if... More

We went and decided to make a decision on their chardonnay without first paying their high price for a tasting ($13). (We have an issue paying too much for tasting, as we enjoy wine... we go to wineries with the goal of enjoying a new winery and what they have to offer and buying at least one, if not more... More

Stopped in after hiking all day at Bull Run Mountain. We arrived in the dark so couldn't tell how the grounds or vineyard looked but the tasting room was quaint and offered several areas to sit the socialize with a group. It's worth checking out all of the areas on the porch past the tasting area, the two lounge areas... More
