The positive: This winery is beautiful and inviting. A 19th century home dominates, and the grounds are available to picnic and lounge with a glass or two. The day we were there they had live music, which was lovely. Many people were taking advantage of the great weather, music and grounds. The pourer who assisted us with our tastings was... More

It's a nice day trip on a nice day. There's plenty of open space for everyone to spread out, kids and all. The the tasting folks are fun and knowledgeable. At $13 for the tasting, it's not bad considering they have quite a few wines in each flight. Then you have to pay to stay . . . YIKES. It's... More

This was the first winery we visited in Virginia! We liked it very much, friendly staff and good wine. The grounds are pretty and perfect for a picknic, it is very dog friendly too. We became members the first time we were there and have enjoyed the extra benefits and wine! We haven't been there quite as often as we... More

Whenever we go to the Winery at LaGrange we have a blast. First, you can bring your dogs!!! The wine is tasty, the grounds are expansive and the live music and other events (craft fair/anniversary celebration) are a blast! Whether you go with a group or just the two of you, an excellent way to spend the day.

This review is a mixed bag for me. First of all the good. This winery is in a lovely location, set in and around a 19th century house and grounds, and plenty of picnic tables and grassy lawn to throw a blanket on. You can bring your leashed and well behaved dogs, your kids, and a picnic basket and spread... More

We went to La Grange on a recommendation of a friend and we had a wonderful time. We had the kids with us but they didn't mind while we were doing our tasting. The grounds were beautiful and lots of space to wander while sipping on some wine. Would be great for a picnic or birthday party. My only comment... More

We stopped by because my family lives nearby. Very sweet and beautiful vineyard . Great place to bring family, friends, friendly dogs (on leash). Great place to picnic and buy a glass or bottle of wine. It happened that the day we visited was when they had musicians play. I would suggest shoes that an handle the uneven terrain.

We visited the Winery at La Grange on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The place was packed, not unexpectantly, and there is ample parking. We walked straight up to the tasting counter and were greeted by a friendly young lady who told us about the tastings. She poured us the first couple of tastings and then was replaced by another friendly... More

I loved going to La Grange when it first opened. The people who worked their were friendly and happy to show you around and talk about the winery. A bit over a year ago we joined the wine club. The perks were mostly about getting pricey bottles of wine that aren't all available to the general public. We were also... More
