This rating is solely because of the retired AF fighter pilot tour guide. I wish I could spend a weekend with him hearing his amazing personal stories and about the museum. If you visit here, please allow him to give you the tour. You won't be disappointed.

My wife and two children spent all day walking around and enjoying the displays. Great science information and exhibits. Set aside 3-4 hours for this. The IMAX theater is about 45 minutes. There are plenty of places to eat nearby it's ashame that people in Southern VA don't get out and walk around, because this area is quaint and the... More

Went with the family with high hopes, since we had been there many years ago. Unfortunately, may good exhibits we remembered were gone. Of the "new" exhibits, several were out of order, including the space shuttle simulator, the lunar lander, and probably a third of the hands-on activities. After awhile, we gave up trying to push buttons. The aircraft were... More

We had a great time going around the museum and experiencing all the history of air and space. They have great interaction exhibits for children and adults. We even got to enjoy a IMAX 3D documentary.

Amazing with I MAX theater, membership and also they help the community and there are neighborhood tax credits on VA state taxes for donors. I so enjoy it here and donate money to the programs that help our children. I also believe they do so much for our local communities. What a great place and everything is always changing. See... Not much to see really. Some nice examples of classic aircraft, but all are hanging from the ceiling and can't get close.

This is the official welcome center for the NASA Langley Research Center as well as being an excellent aviation and space museum. Exhibits include several actual aircraft suspended from the ceiling and the body of a passenger aircraft with exhibits inside. Visitors can also sit in the cockpit and play with the controls. Almost all of the exhibits are hands... More
