Beautiful setting, the staff was okay. I asked for a full body red and the meritage was recommended and it was very flat. The second red I tried was much more appealing. The music outside is lovely and was not too loud as to enjoy conversation at the table. We relaxed for over three hours enjoying the music, wine and... More

We arrived more than half an hour before the winery closed, and the woman we talked to at the tasting bar was reluctant to let us do a $7 per person tasting even though we arrived before the 4:30 last call. She said we'd made it in just under the wire, so we could do a tasting, but, afterward, when... More

Pretty venue but the wines aren't that exceptional. Has become very crowded and on the weekends, parking is hard to come by. Closes at 5 on the weekends with a strict last call at 4:30 so have your watches ready as the staff strictly remind you, especially one of the female owners ! Not that relaxing a place anymore. Too... More

We were doing a tour of Loudon vineyards and after hearing so many positives comments about this vineyard, it was on our "to-do list!" We were happy to finally have the opportunity to stop in and were instantly very impressed to turn off the main road, in what seems like a quasi-residential area and instantly feel like we were in... MY wife and I vised The Barns at Hamilton Station Vineyards on a beautiful Spring day. This is a great winery in Northern, VA. It is in and old restored barn with a very nice tasting room and large property. We were greeted by a vey friendly hostess and tasted some very good white & red wines for a small... More

We visited three wineries on a girls getaway weekend and this was by far our favorite! They do not serve food but allow you to bring picnic baskets which was interesting. They had live music, wine was great and the guy who did our wine tasting was the best! Would definitely recommend this for a wine tasting. Just remember to... More

I had recently heard about the barns from a fellow vino (whose opinions in wine I highly trust) and decided to stop here with some girlfriends during a wine trek. It was a great experience. I loved the barn and the wine. I enjoyed almost every wine I tasted. They also have great sounding soups and stews, but I did... More

We visited on a busy Saturday afternoon with family, friends and two young children. Great wines! The family that owns this winery are extremely friendly and very involved. Love the atmosphere. They had Jason Masi performing the day we were there...amazing! Enjoyed their picnic deal with baguettes, cheese and meats. Our 4 year old daughter had a blast. We will... More

We stumbled upon this fairly new winery toward the end of the day.... and were glad we did! The Barn is a great place to relax on three tiers and just chill. There's a small loft, a main floor with fireplace and a large cellar. The staff is UBER friendly, and our tasting was as educational as it was enjoyable.... More
