We are a family-owned and operated farm winery, located just north of Richmond VA. A refreshing change from the ordinary! Our staff serves a tasting of wines from whites to delicious reds and dessert wines in a tranquil country setting. Enjoy a picnic on our beautifully landscaped patio or capture the view from the terrace. James Batterson, winemaker, creates all wines from Virginia grown grapes.

There was a wedding going on while we were here tasting, so the winery was admittedly busy. We had a tasting - of average wines (none sweet). It was a fine experience, nothing noteworthy, honestly.

Came out on Friday for a tasting and music in the garden. Some folks brought picnic dinners while others, like us, bought from the food trucks. The wine, food and music were all good. I don't claim to be terribly knowledgeable about wine but we found several we liked. A large tent with tables and chairs kept us dry from... More

Great selection of wines and all are tasted for only $4.75 per person(we had 12 reds and whites total)...wonderful hostess (? Theresa) and Alexander, both who were very well versed on their wines; other wineries in the area, etc. No question was too unimportant for them to answer! It is in an old home well back from the busy road;... More

Great price. Awesome wine tasting. Even joined the really affordable wine club. Picking up my next order this weekend. Christmas gift buying will be easy this year.

Threi property on Rt one is very nice. The wine however stills needs a little work. It had to much of a minerally taste for me. I am sure they will continue to improve each year.

We enjoyed a wine tasting at this location. Driving to the location, we were a little taken back by the location next to a golf ball driving range but the wines made up for this business next door. At the end of the regular tasting, they provided a slushy made from wine for your enjoyment. Most all Wineries provide a... More

A large group of us stopped in for one of their wine festivals on a Sunday and even though it was very cold outside, we had a great time. The grounds were laid out nicely to accommodate the large crowd they had, as well as various vendors, food trucks and the wineries being represented. The wines were decent and the... More

The setting is nice for an in town location. I am not a wine expert by any means , but was not at all impressed. The wines were all on the sweet side with an odd smell. The places was very busy and tasting area was way too small.

When we arrived, a trolly full of people had just arrived. The staff worked quickly to accommodate the crowd and get everyone served. The tasting was done in a professional manner while still being friendly.

This was a decent winery on the Colonial Virginia Winery Tour. It probably had the least amount of character and had the sweetest wines on the tour. The tasting area was much smaller than the others, but overall it was a nice place. There was not much to see other than the tasting room. Most of the grapes are not... More
