Thank you for your kind words. The Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway are spectacular this time of year! There is a reason people call Blue Ridge Shadows 'Virginia's Most Beautiful Golf'! With great course conditions and views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Skyline Drive, it is a bucket list trip! Come back and visit soon! More

Very unique layout and challenging holes. Some beautiful vistas from the tee boxes. Disappointed in the upkeep of the tee boxes. You will use all the clubs in your bag. Stop in the restaurant for some yummy homemade meals.

Thank you for your comments. Our new superintendent has been working very hard to improve course conditions. The tee boxes are one of our main priorities. We have repaired some faulty sprinklers, and will be aerifying, seeding and fertilizing the tees over the next couple of weeks. Hopefully you will enjoy beautiful tee boxes along with the beautiful views and... More

We had heard a lot of very good things about Blue Ridge Shadows. We had no issues with the golf course, although there were a few holes that were hard to figure out having never played them. The lodging was fine, no complaints there. We were not impressed at all with Houlihans's restaurant.

Nice layout. Some very challenging holes for me and less-than-average golfer. We liked the greens and thought overall that the course was kept in great shape. The clubhouse was nice and the girls behind the service bar are great! There was a lot of ground under repair bunkers that were just left to overgrow with weeds that took away from... More

Thank you for your review. We truly appreciate you visiting us and posting your comments. You are correct that we have a few bunkers that are under repair. Our long-term goal is to 'soften' the golf course in order to make it more player friendly, and one of those goals is to remove some of the fairway and greenside bunkers.... More

I have played Blue Ridge Shadows 3 – 4 times in the last few years. I have always found the course in pretty good shape and staff to be very accommodating and friendly. Bottom Line: Play it! You will like it if you enjoy courses with some topography changes and water. If you like flat courses or get mad if... More

Thank you so much for your kind words, and we're thrilled you enjoyed your day at Blue Ridge Shadows in spite of losing some golf balls. We suggest taking a lesson from our resident Certified PGA Professional instructor to reduce your slice. You can save money on golf balls to spend on our local craft beer. We hope to see... More

My golfing buddies and I try to play this course a couple of times a year. From our experience, it is a well run, well maintained facility, probably the best in the Front Royal area; it is also the most challenging course for me. As seniors, we have started playing from the forward tees, partly because of the theme "play... More

Thank you for your kind words. Our golf course can be a challenge, especially if you play the wrong tees. We offer 7 sets of tees including two PGA Family markers for kids. I've found that playing from the White or Gold tees make the golf course much more fun to play, assuming you can hit the ball fairly straight.... More

The course is a challenge, but enjoyable. This was the 2nd time our group did a package deal here. I do want to give you a warning however!! On the 18th green, it is elevated and there is a grassy area up behind it. There is also a hidden hole, that is filled with long grass in it. I was... More

Thank you for posting your review, and I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the greens on your last visit. We take great pride in providing a great experience for every customer on every visit, and on occasion we fall short. I have spoken with several golfers who indicate that our greens are now really smooth and fast. So as the weather... More

My dad and I played the course this morning and loved it. Every hole offered us unique opportunities to hit draws, fades, and I would rate this as a shot makers course. We will make this course part of the rotation for our birthday weekend. We were surprised to see players before us not filling in divots on tee boxes... More

Thank you so much for your kind words, and we are thrilled you enjoyed the golf course. Our staff works very hard to provide a wonderful experience and like most golf courses, we spend a lot of time fixing what our golfer leave us with; divots, ball marks and unraked bunkers. Thank you again and we hope to see you... More

We played Blue Ridge Shadows once last year and again today with a Groupon, which made it a good value. The course was interesting, a bit challenging, and fairly well maintained, but we will never return. Both tee times were for Sunday around noon. Thank you for your comments, and please accept our sincere apology for the less than excellent experience you had on Sunday.
