If you travel widely and find the necessity of obtaining information about hotels, restaurants and attractions at visitor's centers, you'll appreciate the visitor's center at Front Royal, Virginia. We have found there isn't a more helpful or more thorough or more complete visitor's center anywhere, even at state-line rest stops. No exaggeration. See for yourself. In most years, we start... We came to Front Royal's Visitors center just by following the signs off the highway on our way from PA to Charlottesville. It seemed as if they had a variety of brochures for everything within a 100-mile radius. When I approached the counter I was given helpful information about the Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park and the Skyline Caverns... More

Stopped by to ask a few questions about happenings in town based on banners that greet you when entering city limits. Very helpful staff who draw on maps to let you know where you need to go. Filled with many brochures of local haunts and happenings. Also sell some souvenirs.

Good place to get info about the local area and attractions. Knowledgeable staff, lots of brochures. The staff can recommend good places to see.

The people were friendly. The place was barren except for fliers all over the walls. The broken tree branch was weird enough. The old time Distance Milage Machine was cool

We stopped here on our way to entering Skyline Drive and they had a ton of information and they were super helpful! We got into for the rest of the places we wanted to visit as well!
