We went to Floyd to see the Artisan Festival and the Fall Festival at the Schools. It was so much more than we imagined. A charming mountain town with the neatest shops that have hand made crafts that are absolutely beautiful. The talent in that area is indescribably unique. We visited the town on Friday which included a visit to... More

We had heard about the store and were excited to see it. However, we were there at 10am and the live bluegrass did not start until noon. We did not have the wait time in our schedule, so we had to leave. This place was really neat, though. Hope we can return some day. The town of Floyd was really... More

Enjoyed the music and watching the dancing. There people visiting from England, Korea, and Israel. All the local were very friendly.

Our 'Americana' road trip from NYC included a stop over in Floyd where we found the people, song & dance to be as Americana as Apple Pie. It was standing room only when we arrived at 8pm which we had no issue with. You'll find yourself strolling through the store, tapping your feet, admiring crafts and beautiful cutting boards, all... Walked in looking for a sandwich, wound up staying for a great blue grass jam session and some flat foot dancing. Must stop by if you are in Floyd.

Wow, great place. Interesting during the day but rocks at night. Come prepared to DANCE whether you are a veteran flat flooted or new to country. People were there as far away as Australia, Belgium, German, and California. Note: no alcohol sold.

Whether you're roaming the street listening to musicians or grab a seat (come early! ~ about 5) for the official jamboree, Floyd is a magical place! Be prepared to sit close with your neighbors and have a knee-slapping good time! You'll hear gospel (the first hour) and good ole bluegrass. They played/called a square dance when I was there and... Tickets went on sale at 4:45, and we were told that we could put something on seats to save them which we did. We left and came back about a half hour before the jamboree began at 6:30. Three groups performed. The first group played for an hour and had a gospel sound, but the next two groups were bluegrass.... More

I never flat-footed before, but I gave it try here and had a grand ol' time. The first hour of gospel was not the gospel I am familiar with. After that it was very lively bluegrass and old time. Great time. $5 per person

The store hosts a variety of live music events that focus primarily on old time music and bluegrass. If you want to see a show there, you must purchase tickets at the store and COME EARLY! Also bring something to mark your seats with because there aren't assigned seats so a chair will not be a guarantee. We had a... More
