The store hosts a variety of live music events that focus primarily on old time music and bluegrass. If you want to see a show there, you must purchase tickets at the store and COME EARLY! Also bring something to mark your seats with because there aren't assigned seats so a chair will not be a guarantee. We had a... More

We made Floyd our stop to hear the Sunday afternoon jam. The group playing was a bit toned down from what we expected, but we later learned that there was a big Hillbilly music event in town. The store has a an old character feel, but sells a lot of modern things. Prices are what you might expect, and the... More

We spend time in Floyd Country Store. We normally arrive on Friday so we can enjoy the Friday night music. This trip we arrived on Saturday and just browsed the store. They have a delightful cafe and a great variety of merchandise including awesome books and music!

Ice-cream, old candies, and sandwiches. All the things you can enjoy while listening to live music. One of those old country stores you don't see to many of anymore.

Get here early to buy tickets and reserve you seat. You'll get 3 sets of music of gospel and old time bluegrass. If you like dancing and can do some flat footin' then hit the dance floor. You can buy inexpensive meals at the County Store and enjoy jamming at a few other locations in Floyd, VA. Book early for... More

A country store with a lunch counter and a small performance stage in the back. It's easy to dismiss the place as another dressed-up tourist trap, but doing so would be a great disservice to the genuine charm of the people who work there and would ignore the wonderful music played on the stage. A definite stop if you're in... More

Went to the Floyd Country Store to listen to some good bluegrass/mountain music and was disappointed in what I heard. These are bands that have not yet been discovered and play the best music. People got up and clogged and danced and had a really fun time. I had wanted to go to the country store for years and was... More

Stopped off at Floyd purely to see the Friday night jamboree, it costs $5 to get in but it's well worth it and what a fantastic evening my wife & I had, met loads of friendly people and listened to some real blue grass music, something we have alway wanted to do, there were three bands each played for an... The bluegrass on Friday night in Floyd should not be missed. We didn't eat here but stopped in for ice cream and to enjoy the music!

Wonderful dances and playing on Friday nights. Don't miss it! Like something out of the past, but in the present.
