I'm sure the country store would be a nice attraction any day of the week, since they have a good variety of music-related items for purchase as well as a small restaurant and curios. But the real attraction is the music, so if you can time your visit to enjoy a bluegrass performance, you will remember it forever! We visited... More

The Floyd Country Store has been around several years, and my worry was that it might have changed since I was last there almost a decade ago. Nope. It is still a rare and wonderful place. And it is not about a place to shop, though you can do that if you want to. We were on the way home... More

If you come to Floyd and don't visit the Country Store, you are really missing out. The Friday Night Jamboree is an event to remember: in the warmer months, the fun and music spills into the streets as we celebrate true American Music and Dance.. American music is alive and well here- a living tribute to our past, and our... More

This is an experience you cannot miss if you are following The Crooked Trail or are just a lover of good music and local Appalachian culture. The good music, good lunch date and local goods make it a must stop in. I highly recommend it if you are anywhere near this quaint little town.

We didn't really experience the Friday Jamboree that Floyd Country Store is famous for, as we were passing through town near closing time on a Sunday afternoon, so we had to content ourselves with a browse of the store, and a quick look around town. Something nifty is going on in Floyd, and the Floyd Country Store is at the... More
