We didn't really experience the Friday Jamboree that Floyd Country Store is famous for, as we were passing through town near closing time on a Sunday afternoon, so we had to content ourselves with a browse of the store, and a quick look around town. Something nifty is going on in Floyd, and the Floyd Country Store is at the... More

My husband and I were here during the busy fall season, and the Fri night jamboree was packed wall-to-wall with people. A couple of hints: tickets go on sale at 4:45 and there is a line. I waited until about 5 pm to go by the store, and I walked right in. However, many of the folding chairs were reserved... More

Friends brought us here on a Saturday afternoon and live bluegrass was playing and it was very enjoyable. After noticing the food they were serving looked quite good, we returned on Sunday for a quick lunch before heading home. Wife and I had homemade chicken salad sandwich and pimento cheese sandwich along with a cup of potato & leek soup....all... More

We went to Floyd to enjoy the Friday night music. The tickets do not go on sale until 4:45 pm the night of the show and it is only 5 dollars. Get there early because they only have 165 seats and they go very fast. We were told to put something on a seats to reserve them, so I put... More

We went to Floyd to see the Artisan Festival and the Fall Festival at the Schools. It was so much more than we imagined. A charming mountain town with the neatest shops that have hand made crafts that are absolutely beautiful. The talent in that area is indescribably unique. We visited the town on Friday which included a visit to... More

We had heard about the store and were excited to see it. However, we were there at 10am and the live bluegrass did not start until noon. We did not have the wait time in our schedule, so we had to leave. This place was really neat, though. Hope we can return some day. The town of Floyd was really... More

Our 'Americana' road trip from NYC included a stop over in Floyd where we found the people, song & dance to be as Americana as Apple Pie. It was standing room only when we arrived at 8pm which we had no issue with. You'll find yourself strolling through the store, tapping your feet, admiring crafts and beautiful cutting boards, all...
