Very beautiful winery in the mountains. Tour was very informative and it was very interesting to learn the ways wine was made!

Our company were guests of a vendor who hosted an event here. We toured the winery with knowledgeable and friendly staff. We enjoyed light hors d'oeuvres and a wine tasting with a complimentary keepsake wineglass decorated with their lab mascots. The dinner was very well done, considering there were a few hundred of us there. The locale and size of... More

Definitely worth a beautiful meander off 81 for an informative tasting and a very good meal. Also, the gift shop has some great items and some of the wines support dog-friendly endeavors. We've been back several times and will return again shortly. P.S. Don't miss the town of Floyd!

Thanks for the very kind words. Chateau Morrisette is located less than 35 miles from Interstate 81, exit 114. It's about 22 miles to the Town of Floyd and another 6 miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway, all on route 8. No turns. Once on the Parkway, travel south another six miles and there you will find us. Thanks for... More

We stayed in nearby Floyd for a few days and this was a lovely day trip. The winery is just off the Blue Ridge Parkway and has a lovely view. We ate at the restaurant and enjoyed our lunch outside. The food was very good as well as the service and the desserts to die for. Afterwards we toured the... More

Beautiful location for just the place you need to relax. Great winery and excellent restaurant to spend the evening at. Friendly people, friendly environment, and a place to let your worries slip away. Such a romantic and relaxing area. You will not regret taking the trip to this exotic location.

Thanks for making the 5 hour trip from Portsmouth. While we love Olde Towne and the Elizabeth River harbor in your neck of the woods, we also love our mountaintop views here too. I'm very glad you enjoyed your visit and found our location to be both romantic and inviting. Many travelers along the Blue Ridge Parkway take a break... More

I stopped at the Chateau Morrisette Winery while on a trip with my job. What a treat! I'm 24 and this was my first wine tasting experience! It was definitely a great time. The wine is excellent as well. I took home a bottle of the Sweet Mountain Apple. That one was my favorite. Also, my backpack happened to knock... More

While Chateau Morrisette has a wide compliment of fine, delicious wines, I am a particular fan of their sweet wines. Their Labrador Logos make their wines great gifts for the dog lover in your life, and their Winery is a fantastic place to visit, have some lunch and enjoy the mountain views! If you are in the area, don't miss... More

Thanks for the great review. Our first labrador, Hans, appears on all of our labels. We love our dogs and as a result, we welcome dogs into our tasting room or anywhere on our grounds, except the restaurant where dogs are prohibited by law. Chateau Morrisette is a lovely place through and through. The grounds are beautiful, the wine is delicious, and their wine-tasting experience is top-notch. The guides are very knowledgeable, and one may either tour the winery, the grounds, and the buildings, or relax in the peaceful atmosphere that is this beautiful place. It is laid-back, unassuming and a great place to... More
