Ray is one of our most tenured tasting hosts and everyone seems to enjoy his tastings. There are several other hosts who have been with us a long time as well plus a few new folks who bring a slightly different edge to the tasting experience. Come often and experience them all! Thanks for taking the time to review us. More

We took the tour and did the tastings which was fun! Then ate lunch at the restaurant. Highly recommend the pork sliders with blueberry wine marinade! A pleasant two hour excursion with wonderful views.

I'm glad you enjoyed your day at Chateau Morrisette. Tours are offered daily at different times depending on the day. The last tour is always one hour before the posted closing time. Check the website for specific tour times. Tastings are available upon demand provided there is space at the tasting bar. Even on busy days, the wait time for... More

Try the shrimp and grits...delicious! Very nice staff! Beautiful buildings, grounds, and amazing views! Some wines are hit or miss, but you will definitely find a few or more that you truly enjoy!!! They have tastings or if you are eating in the restaurant, they will let you taste a few to help you decide as well. Just with anything,... More

Thanks for taking the time to write the review. Shrimp and Grits are one of our staple offerings. The entree is very popular. The restaurant menu changes several times a year but we try to keep the staple items on the menu as long as we can get quality product at that time of year. Look for a new menu... More

This place is simply top notch in every respect. During the summer months you can sit outside on the ample porch and sip wine and bring your own food or buy something there on the property. They have music on the weekends and offer tours of the winery and tastings as well. The scenery is gorgeous! We are so lucky... More

What a wonderful endorsement, thank you for supporting Chateau Morrisette. Guests are able to bring a picnic lunch and eat in one of our three gazebos or on our courtyard. Many people bring a blanket and find a spot away from the other guests. No out side alcohol is allowed as there are already two alcohol licenses on the premises.... More

while camping at nearby fairy stone state park, my wife and I visited the winery. Nice simple tour, friendly people and some decent wine. There is a charge for the tasting, but wasn't too much. You can buy a glass or more, or eat at their restaurant next door. Beautiful building and nice views.

Thanks for the nice review. Chateau Morrisette is located less than an hour away from Fairy Stone State Park and it's a great outing when you're looking for something a little different from the park's offerings. Route 57 to Hight 8 North to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The winery is 6 miles south on the Parkway at MP 171.5/Black Ridge... More

My daughter and I went for her birthday. We ate outside on the patio and enjoyed the lovely sunset! The meal was fabulous, and we enjoyed watching the sunset. It was a nice relaxing enjoyable meal. We have been to Chateau Morrisette several times over the last 20 years, even though we live 8h away, will do the detour any time we're anywhere "close by" Their Chambourcy and Chardonnay reserve are outstanding. The restaurant is good, and has a very nice view of the blue ridge. Don't go if you don't like dogs, as there are... More

Otherwise don't bother! The views are spectacular but the wine leaves a lot to be desired. These folks are not serious about their winemaking but definitely know how to bring home the bacon. So if you like "commercial" written all over the place make this your first stop.

I'm very sorry you were unhappy with our wines during your visit. In addition to our widely distributed sweet and off-dry wines, we have a number of small batch wines that can only be found here at the winery or in specialty wine stores. Many of these wines have won awards and received ratings above 90. If you were looking... More
