Lovely Italian style winery. If you are traveling along the Blue Ridge Parkway I highly recommend you stop and taste their wines. Its our favorite winery in Floyd!.

We were in the Meadows of Adam area for the weekend to visit wineries and local attractions. 3 locals told us we couldn't leave until we visited Villa Appalaccia. We love Italian wines so we decided to visit. This venue is right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. There is outside seating some under a portico area and some on the... More

If you are looking for a commercial, pretentious East Coast winery, keep driving along the Blue Ridge Parkway to find such. But if you want to find unique wines with an Italian flair as Sangiovese, Aglianico & Corvina, blend combinations that are harder to pronounce than drink and both a sparkling white and a 'just for fun' sparkling red, ~... Very small winery off the Blue Ride Parkway. The wines were excellent and the building was surrounded with beautiful landscaping with outdoor seating areas. Nice visit!

We thoroughly enjoyed the drive from Claytor Lake, stopped in Floyd for a quick visit on the way back. Great wine and scenic views.

This is our very favorite winery in the Blue Ridge region. If you like the "real thing" then this is the place for you. The owners grow their own grapes and make the wine from their grapes. Unlike another very popular winery very close by that is more into the commercial aspect than serious winemaking; we much prefer Villa Appalachia.... More

Wines at Villa Appalachia are outstanding. We liked them better than Chateau Morrisette, right down the road. The winery is smaller and more quaint. They have a nice outside area to enjoy if the weather is nice.

These Italian style wines are awesome. Red or white, it does not matter, as they age, they are smoother and more complex. We also had a cheese plate, that at $20, was generous and easily fed the two of us for lunch. Kudos to all! We'll keep coming back! Don't miss this if you find yourself on the Blue Ridge... More

While most Virginia Vineyards lean towards the French styles, Villa Appalachia focus is on the Italian blends. The Aglianico and Toscanello are superb. Even though they are 3 hours away, we find time at least once a year to visit, plus try to catch them at any of the closer festivals. Picturesque setting along the Blue Ridge Parkway, an excellent...
