La Traviata

Another great show. LA Traviata was sung in Italian. A classic love story, with devotion, sacrifice, reconciliation and death.

Saw a wonderful student play last week in one of the smaller theater spaces, loved the show and the small theater but getting there was seriously off putting. All the GMU website talks about is accessing the main Center for the Arts building entrance but what they don't tell you is how to get to the smaller spaces or that... More

Just saw Salome at the Center for the Arts. It was my first visit. I was impressed not only with the quality of the show but also with the theater itself. The seats were very comfortable when plenty of leg room. I don't think there was a bad seat in the house. Everyone working was very helpful. I want to... More

My grandson & I have regular season tickets & have seen many great shows from many countries as well as the USA. Small auditorium makes it easy for everyone to have great seats to see & hear the shows.

I have been a season subscription holder for the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra for more than 15 years. Almost all the concerts have been in the Center for the Arts; it's a shame the FSO has to play there. Acoustics aren't really what they should be. The balcony seats are arranged in very long unbroken rows (no center aisle) that make... More

It's not necessary always to drive into DC, because GMU offers a wide variety of excellent productions, some of world class caliber. Tickets are cheaper, and there is free parking in a nearby open lot. Sight lines are good, even from the very last row (where we sat for one opera). We have a regional favorite: the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra.

The variety of entertainment offerings is awesome and amazingly eclectic! During the 2013-2014 season, we enjoyed a play by Shakespeare, jazz musicians, Irish melodies, a symphonic orchestra, a ballet, and a modern play. There's something for everybody.

Very compact with no frills. It feels like meeting the neighbors at the movies even when you don't know who is sitting next to you. Good selection, snack bar is affordable, and staff are actually personable. Feels like the neighborhood theatre that it is.

Great opportunity to see a wonderful show close to home. Big fan of the Kings Singers and enjoyed hearing their latest album live. Beautiful harmony. A rare treat.
