Stumbled on the DelFosse Vineyards & Winery while on a leisurely drive from Charlottesville to Lynchburg. It is 3+ miles up a narrow valley road off US 29, but well worth the drive. The wine tasting bar is small but the server accomodated us. After looking at the tasting list, neither the classic list ($5) or the reserve list ($10)... More

It's a beautiful vineyard and view if you are willing to drive the windy back road to get there. I can imagine it is lovely for a wedding, and there is a rustic but comfortable cabin with sleeping loft one can rent. The crepes though are delicious, thanks to the French owner-chef. The kids kicked around a soccer ball on... More

We visited as a fairly large group and the staff was able to accommodate us with no problems. The tasting room is large with a lot of tables and the staff configured a few tables for our tasting. The wine is one of the better found in Virginia and you can enjoy your sips overlooking a beautiful property. The overall... More

Wonerful Bastile Day party. Crepes, music, beautiful scenery and Claude Delfosse's wonderful wines.

Having had some pretty good Delfosse wines at home I was happy to go the extra drive out to see the vineyard. As far as the setting, it is truly beautiful. They have a lovely patio and serve crepes fairly often. The tasting counter however is quite small and can be crowded. There are two tasting options: $5 and $10.... More

Didn't know Virginia was big on vineyards. This one is very pretty and the day we went was crepe day. Delicious wines and delicious food. A vineyard worth visiting.

It's worth the drive off the beaten path to get to this winery. The wines tasted wonderful and the view is amazing. They own a cabin on top of a hill that overlooks the winery. No one was staying there at the time and the owners let us drive up and check it out. Took some great pics.

My first visit to Delfosse but definitely not my last! I liked almost all of their wines and our tasting room attendant Bryan was great! I ended up joining their wine club which is a great deal because you get 25% off your first purchase and you get to pick the wines in your shipment.
