Stopped there and shared a wine tasting with my wife. Tasting fees are reasonable with military discounts and you can keep your glass if you buy a bottle. We liked the Meriage, a blend of cab franc and chambourcin. We had a picnic on the grounds with a small grill and had a beautiful view of the Shenandoah Valley. If... More

We came by on a weekday as a small group (6 of us) and wanted to try a few wines. They only had 2 dry whites and we tasted both. Didn't really care for the chardonnay, so we went with the Viognier mixed (50/50) with Traminette. It was just OK. It was a little odd, as it felt like a... More

My husband and I stopped for a wine tasting. We were the only people there to taste when we arrived. We were greeted by a not so pleasant women, I think we interrupted her quiet day. She quickly said to us the tasting would be $7 each, did we still want to do the tasting? It was like we were... More

My Fiance' and I made a trip from Hagerstown to the Shenandoah Valley in January for a weekend getaway and stopped by Wolf Gap to pick up some used barrels to decorate for our wedding reception. Wolf Gap Willie braved a recent snow storm and frigid temps to get us to the storage barn, helped us load the barrels, then... More

My husband and I were out on a wine tasting trip and found this Winery by accident. He bought a case of the Cabernet Sauvignon Special Reserve....Funny thing he normally doesn't go on wine tasting tours with me....He was a little shocked by the price of a case of wine. LOL. Didn't realize there were12 bottles in a case of... More

Our family was on a trip to Virginia in July. My mom and I decided to visit Wolf Gap... the only complaint I have is - we don't live closer!! We're up here in PA - about 5 hours away. Mom and I had a WONDERFUL experience. The views on the deck are spectacular. The wine - FABULOUS. We bought... More

I love wolf gap winery! It has the best view of any winery in the valley and some of the best wines too! The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. Definitely worth the trip.

If you're looking for the fancy villa, polished chestnut bar and a make believe European experience this isn't for you BUT if you like great wines, a beautiful view and some intriguing conversation then Wolfgap Willie's your place.

I stopped in alone and sat with the owner who was charming and down to earth. He discussed how his family decided to start a winery. I enjoyed the wine and the time spent there. I am happy to support local families starting their own businesses. The views were exceptional, the tasting room quaint. I enjoyed having the dog hang... More
