It's worth the trek to Dulles and $15 admission per car. The highlights were the Shuttle Discovery and the Concorde. My four year old daughter got to sit in a Cessna and pretend to fly it. She loved it. The Enola Gay is there. Very cool and exciting aircraft here, even if your not a airplane nut! I need to... More

This would have to be one of the best aircraft & space museums on the planet. This has interests or the entire family and you could easily spend a full day there. Free entry once you pay for parking $15.00

.. even if you are not 'in' to planes etc., this place is fascinating. Larger than the Smithsonian on the Mall. Incredible displays - including a real Shuttle craft and the original Enola Gay, a Concorde and a stealth bomber. It's a shame the only food outlet is a McDonald's, but the museum is a perfect place to while away... More

Escorted 100 WWII and Korean war Vets (Honor Flight) to this Museum. The guides were great. The planes were super. The F-86 was really an emotional visit for our Korean Vets.

We had three hours to kill as we were flying back to the UK so we thought we would pop over to the museum. Everything about it impressed. Firstly it is free. The building is modern and well laid out. The exhibits were fascinating. The space shuttle, Enola Gay etc. Some real aviation history in there. As a Brit, shame... More

This was the first time visting a Smithsonian. I am a female and I loved looking at all the different planes and being able to ask the volunteers information about the different planes. The best was the Discovery Space Shuttle.

Visited the museum at Dulles Airport in early April 2013. It was a wonderful experience. Parking costs fifteen dollars but admission is free. There is an outstanding collection of aircraft from World War II through Iraq as well as an entire section dealing with commercial aviation. The fact that this facility houses the actual full sized aircraft is amazing. The... More

My sisiter who lives close to the Dulles Airport took me to this museum today. We arrived about 4:00 pm. The typically $15 car parking fee was waived. The museum is free. My sister has been there about 10 times, so she sat down in a comfortable chair to people watch while I walked around the museum. I read many... More

If you have even a mild interest in aviation and/or space exploration, this is a must-visit museum. Absolutely first-class layout, displays and staff. I took my pilot-in-training son with me and we didn't want to leave. Fantastic IMAX theater layout and movie choices--we saw, and loved "Fighter Pilot." The only, very minor downside was the loooonnnnggg line at the museum... More

The Air & Space Museum in Dulles, VA is even better than the one in Washington DC! It's a well-designed, open museum that allows you to view the aircraft from multiple angles. This museum now houses the Space Shuttle Discovery, which is worth the visit. The museum is very easy to navigate even with children and strollers, and there are... More
