We had a great time at Kings Dominion. My daughter (age 6) was in the 48" range and could ride all but 5 rides. She LOVED the park. My son (age 4) wasn't so lucky, but still enjoyed the rides that he was able to go on. They both LOVED the water park area. I choose this park because it... more

Had some time for an end of summer get a way. My wife and I took the kids to Kings Dominion Theme park for a day. Rented a rustic cabin from their campgrounds and had a wonderful time. Food and atmosphere was great. Would highly recommend it. Fun for all ages. more

My friend and I went on a Wednesday in June and the park was pretty empty. It definitely was clean and looked nice. The people running the rides were nice too. Most of the rides had no lines and we were able to go on almost every ride in the park! Our favorite was definitely the Volcano, and the Dominator... more

Just finished an awesome day at Kings Dominion. I normally don't take the time to write reviews (although I read them on this site all the time.) Kings Dominion was awesome! Went on a Wednesday afternoon in June before most of the schools were out. The park is under new management (I think this is the second season) so you... more

Kings Dominion has been around for a long time so it goes without saying that some of the rides are showing their age. Cedar Fair has purchased the park and they are making headway to getting KD back to a decent park. The park is clean and priced in line with other parks. The ride operators were above average -... more

Visit King’s Dominion in April and you’ll realize this park is definitely overlooked. We visited the last weekend in April and there were virtually no lines longer than 15 minutes for some of the most intense, novel thrill rides in the country. Many rides had virtually no lines at all! First, the intense. The newest, Dominator which opened last May,... more

we attended opening day 2009, me and my 4 kids aged 10 to 14. After dropping our dog in the on site dog kennel for $5 (this was a short overnight road trip) we arrived at the rope blocking off the rides from those already in the park until 30 minutes after the gates open. Technically there are two rides... more

I had season passes last year and recently visited for the first time this year with my family, using new season passes. We have also visited Hershey Park, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, and the grim Six Flags America at Largo., Maryland (Washington DC). We also get to Disney World once every two years or so. From that perspective, I think Kings... more

Kings Dominion is now a Cedar Fair park. As Cedar point is my sons favorite park, he has decided that he wants to check out all of the parks owned by them. Kings Dominion was up first. My review may be slighly affected by the fact that it was the first week of the season and it wasn't very crowded.... more

We have been to the park a couple of times. Long lines, expensive food are the norm here. We have observed behavior by some of the employees and customers that is not typical. Bad language, rudeness and threats of violence were observed. Not good when with kids. It is a shame, the rides are good and the park itself could... more
