Gorgeous vineyard and tasting room, though I found the wines to be just fair. The star of this winery is the selection of cysers that they are/have been developing. While they refer to these as hard ciders, they are fermented with mead, technically making them cysers. They had their strawberry for sampling at the time of our visit, with pumpkin,... More

The staff here was friendly and greeted us with a smile as we entered, which definitely makes one feel welcomed! The tasting was quickly started, but no mention of cost was provided at the start. We were a little surprised to see at the end that the tasting was $10 and didn't include glasses, when most places let you keep... More

We visited Cobbler Mountain Cellars in Delaplane, Virginia only a 25 minute drive from Warrenton. The winery is beautiful and set at the base of Cobbler Mountain. It is run by Jeff and Laura Louden, a couple who provides visitors with a very relaxing and warm reception. One can relax on the property while enjoying any number of wonderful wines... More

We were bitten by the winery bug last year and after a trip to Napa and Sonoma consider ourselves amateur winery geeks. Cobbler Mountain is by far my favorite winery I've been too. It is such a warm and friendly place I would have though I was visiting with old friends. It's a great place to come with kids and... More

Cobbler Mountain is fast becoming my favorite VA winery. I have yet to find a wine they make that I do not like. In fact, their Cab Franc has become my go-to red when entertaining. They have just opened a beautiful new tasting room, and should have a new patio this Spring. The staff is super friendly and will gladly... More

We went to Cobbler Mountain Cellars the day after they opened their brand new building where they have events, wine tasting and where they store their barrels. They are just an hour from DC metro which is great location-wise but their ambiance transports you to the countryside very quickly. Good things about them: 1. They are very friendly and make... Cobbler Mountain Cellars has quickly become one of our favorite places to go for great wine and a friendly atmosphere. The owners make everyone feel at home and the love of wine and their desire for all who visit to feel at home are evident the minute you walk in the door. Their new tasting facility opens next month.

I went out to Cobbler Mountain thanks to purchasing a living social deal. The deal wasn’t that great because the snack food included could've been better but it introduced me to a very pleasant, family-owned winery. EVERYONE in the family is working to make this place great which it will be one day. The tasting was lovely and the atmosphere... More

My husband and I stopped by this winery after deciding it was time to try some new ones. A few reviews had piqued my interest so we headed out early on a Sunday. We had a great time! The drive to the winery was scenic and off the beaten path. When we arrived to the tasting room there were two... More
